No just outside Glasgow
So there's worse sectarian violence in Glasgow than in Belfast or Derry? Or is it just football hooliganism? Also is buffalo Joe's down by the train station still going?, I met a great girl there.
There was but it's mostly football related but still and undertone of it ESP on old firm daysNo idea to your other q tho
Not so bad. Belfast still has "peace" walls
I've saw them.. your police stations 10 foot walls barbed wire and cameraed up lol
And it’s okay to be white. Because I’m white and I’d like to test to be black even though I like my ethnicity.

What's my privilege? Coz at least with Buzzfeeds stupid privlige check I have less privlige than a black woman...
Why tf are you trusting Buzzfeed with shit in the first place lmao.
Gotta use the liberal media when arguing against some of them so I use Buzzfeed shit...
You're like 6, please go take a nap. Buzzfeed is cringe in general.
Nah the privillege is called affirmative action and is racist towards whites and Asians.
So it's ok to be white but it's bad to say it out loud?
@Kranjec Get your story straight Affirmative Action hurts Asians, not whites. How do I know this? Look at the Demographic of California's top universities once they got rid of Affirmative Action. Admission rates for Blacks, Hispanics and Whites all declined, while Asians were the only one that saw an increase in admission rates. If the Ivy Leagues got rid of Affirmative Action the same trend would play out there as well.
Hahaha not look at yale and look at the jewish population. Not a whole lot of whites there. Also abandoning meritocracy for affermative action has caised UK schools to drop in world rankings. Same goes for US collages.
@Kranjec I don't know about UK universities, but American colleges are doings fine. As far as I'm concern the American Ivy Leagues are still considered among the best universities in the world. As for Yale I don't know why you felt the need to mention that.
@Starrk lol safe spaces...
Why talk about the elites instead of the average? You can also find an article about how UK unis forced to focus on diversity are falling in world rankings. Also me pointing out how Yale gives preference to jews is important regarding affirmative action. You can also find an article on wall st. journal highlighting how affirmative action has 5% of the population meaning jews occupying almost 50% slots at Harvard and most other elite Ivies, wheil non-jewish whites are the most under represented of all.- Ron Unz, "the myth of American meritocracy"
@Kranjec American universities are falling in the world rankings you say. http://webometrics.info/en/americas/usawww.topuniversities.com/.../2018www.timeshighereducation.com/.../world-rankingWell according to practically every site I've came across, American universities are still dominating the list of best universities in the world. So what exactly are you talking about? As for Yale and it's Jewish population, that has nothing to do with affirmative action. Jews were accounting for a large portion of the Ivy league's student body long before Affirmative Action was implemented.
@Starrk agreed white Christians are under represented at college
Again, you focused on the elite schools dominated by the rich elites/jews. You should take the average, such as the PISA 2012 results and look at how low you are.Yale was a jewish uni for a long time by their own design and affirmative action solidified that.
@Kranjec Many of the Universities on that list are state universities, not Elite universities that only the rich can get into. Also why are you bringing up PISA. PISA measures the performances of those who are around high school age (usually age 15). PISA is more so a measurement of the public school system (K-12), but it's not a measurement of public nor private universities.Americas K-12 school system is average at best and that is no secret. However, like I said earlier, our University systems are top tier which is why you have more internationals coming to college here then vice versa.
And you think quotas set on race instead of SATs are not bringing those unis down? Go to "association of American medical collages" and look for yourself the acceptance rate there regarding the GPA.Pisa also shows that same effect and how it brings down the whole system.
@Kranjec "And you think quotas set on race instead of SATs are not bringing those unis down?"Apparently not if American Universities are still viewed as being the best in the entire world. The same Universities that uses Affirmative Action the most (The Ivy Leagues) are the same Universities who dominate the list of best universities in the world. Also, the admission process for your average University take in consideration many factors. SAT scores is not the be all end all. If it was then a great portion of college students would be nowhere near a college campus. Universities also take into consideration other variables such as GPA, difficulty of classes taken in High School, geographical location, income of family, life struggles and whether you can bring something to the student body that the average kid can't.The admissions process is a lot more complex then "Oh his SAT score is not that spectacular... DENIED".
Sure, personal achievements, skin color, etc... are taken into account. You advocating for discrimination and against meritocracy won't work, even with a corelation regarding world ranking unis, wheil there is proof that that same thing ruined unis in britain.
@Kranjec Meritocracy is a myth. And I'm not advocating for anything. I'm simply telling you how the world works. If you don't like it, well that's too bad.- If you come from a wealthy family who can easily pay the high tuition of college then you will most likely be accepted.- If your wealthy family give a $2.1 million donation to the school that you want to attend then you will be accepted.- If you are an international student then your application would most likely be accepted.- If you're an athlete then you'll most likely be accepted. - If you come from some small Midwestern town, then your application would be put ahead all the other applicants who come from well known large cities.- If you're life was filled with extreme adversaries, then you're application would be put above those who did not have such adversaries.- If you're parents are alumnus of the school that you want to attend, then your application will most likely be accepted.
Sure, and I'm saying that hurts the success, Berkley should be a fine example, or any UK uni, even stanford is going down.
@Kranjec See your post doesn't make any sense. You mention Berkeley and Stanford, but those two Universities reside in a state where preferential treatment has been banned for 21 years. On top of that, their rankings are still very high. Stanford as of 2018 is tied with MIT as the 5th best University in the US. And Berkley is tied at #21 which is pretty damn good for a Public University. This decline that you keep referring to among American Universities is not proven by any type of source that I've seen so far.
@Kranjec Did you read any of those articles or did you grab the first one that you could find that mentioned Affirmative Action.None of those articles says anything about Affirmative Action lowering the ranking of universities. If you actually took the time to read them, you'll see that both of those articles are more concerned about the effects of Affirmative Action on minorities, not the institution.
Sure, the graduation rates are important to the collages, same as in the UK, that is why most YK unis are dropping in rankings.
Against a movement? Maybe, maybe not. Nothing to suggest theyd be against dark-skinned people though. Theyre pointing out the neuroticism over supporting dark-skinned people exclusively, and 'positive' discrimination - not dark-skinned people themselves.
@DonRomeo That is just a complete lie. People dont think its wrong to be white so this is an obvious attack.
People in America are being told that it's a bad thing to be white
No they are not.
Have you attended college here in the last 10 years?
No. You could not pay me to study in the USA but I have been there if that somehow makes me qualified to have an educated opinion.
How do you explain the constant white shaming in soceity?
There are bound to be idiots who do that, just like people shaming or hating every other demographic. Most people are fine with people being white. I don't see why one would care about some idiots
So if it said " it's ok to be black" that would imply that it's not ok to be anything other than black? If you say no your clearly a racist.
No it doesn't...
It doesn't actually...
So is it ok to be white?
Of course hahaAnd I'm black by the way
It's ok to be black too.
