Yeah. Read this one before I stumbled across your question. Thought it was dumb at the time. If I have to quantify it than it's not the dumbest article I've ever read before. Definitely in the top ten. Guardian used to be a good paper. Overwhelmed by special interest.0
Americans really like pinning literally anything they don't like on the other party huh?
God forbid people feeling proud about working on their health and wanting to share that.
As with anything you can go too far (of course) but come on!1

Proof the libs are mentally ill and in this case chemically imbalanced probably from lack of exercise.20
I used to love reading the Guardian but every single opinion-piece that I've seen over the last two years has been a pile of shit. I almost want to make an account just so I can comment on it.0
To be honest even though a liberal, I don't take Guardian too seriously their heads are so far up their own arses the lost sight of what was going on a long time ago.0
News flash unfit aging feminist columnist for the guardian butthurt about fitter and healthier people so brands them all Nazis lol0
I boast with my intelligence rather. Does this make me a ''liberal''?2
Seriously don't read the Guardian, no serious minded person does.0
Just more proof of how insane liberals are.0
Lmao. That lady is nuts.0

I was right-wing for a long time already! My values relate around adapting to the world and self-sufficiency. Like I don't think the right way to go about dealing with a bully victim is to try to go on anti-bullying parades, because that's not teaching the victim how to fend for himself/herself as an adult in a world filled with people who aren't always so nice.
So I believe in teaching them how to stand up for themselves -- self-sufficiency. I think just having that sort of mindset tends to make you more right-leaning in general since it's revolving around individual responsibility rather than trying to change the entire world.
Kind of like being an adult vs a child. A child relies on other people to protect him/her. That's sort of left-wing. Whereas an adult has to learn how to fend for himself/herself. That's more right-wing.
Like thinking cyber-bullying should be illegal: left-wing mindset. Thinking people need to grow a thicker skin before they expose themselves on the internet: right-wing mindset.
There's probably some truth to the idea that people really into fitness and work hard to be healthy will become more right-wing though. Same with people who get a job and work for a living or start a business. The more accountable of a person you and take responsibility for your own self, whether health or finances or otherwise, the more right-wing I think you tend to become. Since you start to realize that helplessness and weakness doesn't have to be a permanent character trait for most people. People can start weak and grow strong, especially if we help each other to do so.
