Sure why not? Children like all kinds of toys for their imagination.
No they don't like all the other less perfect Cheaper Barbie like dolls.
Depends on the child. But I wouldn't like it as that child's parent
5 and under won’t care. Too innocent to notice. 6+ depends solely on what values their parents taught them
There's nothing positive about being such a fucking lazy *PIG* that you get a double chin.
No. Little girls would get impression that being fat is ideal. Skinny barbie isn't better. Barbie should be fit instead.
Seconding that! Health should be the goal. The resulting beauty is just the natural consequence. (Take care of your body, and your body will take care of you.)
Not really, no. Would come across like a sick joke I imagine
Depends on the age of the child and how much of the toxic media messages about body size they have absorbed. Regardless, I think such a gift sends a positive message about self acceptance.
I really dont think kids see barbie as uh body positive aka fat. she's always been a skinny girl with big boobs. So why change it?
I used to play with my hands and pretend they were spiders when I was a kid. You can get them whatever and they will enjoy it up to certain age.
Save money
live better
... Hands!
Sure they'd be happy, right up to the point when their friend showed up with the skinny awesome doll.
Kids will take anything they’re given & probably would be happy about it, but shame on “Santa” for even providing such negative influences 😡🎅🏻
No company would mass produce such dolls because they won't sell.
When I was a kid the fat kids were targets for ridicule and I doubt that's changed much.
Barbie feels more like a political statement than a toy brand these days. :/

No lol. It won't work, girls will cry.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hv1K9roa4ccI would be even more tempted to dissect her. I was kind of a demented kid.
My Uncle Phil would. He does odd things with dolls and isn't allowed to be alone with kids.
I think what you showed is too “fat”, something slightly more proportionate is better
Maybe if the kid is big themselves but usually kids like the original.
I don't think so, but the original is an impossible shape, so I wouldn't buy either.
They won't realise the difference. One day they will create a lesbian barbie.
With a lesbian haircut?
Why do u keep inviting me to such questions... how is fat positive? Fit is positive.. unless its a disease or smth.
Apparently it's still not ok for women to have normal sized feet.
And, why the extremes? Why not a healthy weight Barbie instead of only choices between anorexic and obese?
body positivity is a cancer in our society that needs to be killed with fire.
thank the progressive left
Possibly it would depend on the type of body the girl has and how she feels about herself.
Body positivity is going to get people killed by heart attacks.
"Body positive" ? What the fuck ! Fat is fat, and I'm positive it's not positive.
LoL that video is a trip. Yeah most kids don't want a fat barbie
Just like Hollywood always casts pretty skinny people. We’re obsessed with wish fulfillment and fantasy.
Its not body positive it means she just fat ass bit...
When it comes to toys, kids have expectations. If they saw a doll like this one, then I'm pretty sure they would be unhappy
You can't change something they are used to seeing just saying
Why would we incourage young girls to be fat they should be thin and tight for there men
It doesn't encourage. Women "shouldn't" BE anything for a man. She should exist to meet her own needs. Not all men want skinny.
What DOES increase obesity? Being body shamed, abused, and rejected by family. Poverty. One's parents being unable to provide home cooked meals with minimally processed ingredients for the preponderance of one's meals. Sedentary culture such as gaming and TV watching instead of live activities like playing outside, sports, participation in play groups and clubs, etc.
“Keep crying hunny, but equality must prevail and you will like it!”
Yes. You get more toy for the buck.
That doesn't work like that with fat people clothes.
Of course not!
Only obese people think the obese movement is a good thing.
Even children know better.
I don't think they would care as long as Santa don't bring them coal😁😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Side by side comparison? I think they would usually pick the slender one.
I dont think that it solve the real problems of the world and people.
Lol, what is that movie? That kid is funny.
Instant family
Thanks. It looks funny, but it's not on Netflix. I'll have to wait until I order from Amazon again to watch it.
As long as they got a Barbie they wouldn't care
We now have "body positive" toys too?
@TheWhiteQueen/ you meant Norma Jean
No they would hate it because it´s ugly
I doubt a 5 y/o kid will care
omg they actually gave it a double chin xD
Those aren't pictures of the actual product.
That would be hilarious!
You should not make fun of others but being overweight shouod not be promoted
If my kid behave like That, i would beat her up
I have never heard of one of those!
stop the planet, I need to get off)
nope in fact the kid will cry.
Depends
I think I may delete my account after seeing this.
Can someone define "body positive" for me please.
PC term for fat.
@BCA6010 That's what i thought it was. Fat shouldn't be something you made positive. Just as anorexia shouldn't.
No, it shouldn't. But this is 2019 where everyone is offended by everything, and stupid people are treated like a national treasure while the film themselves eating tide pods.
No I don’t think but why not 🤷🏻♂️
Yes if they are fat too
I don't think a child would think twice about it
She would cry her eyes out.
