Yea, I'd take my kids to go see it. It had a message that I think was well intended and made sense for what's going on right now with the world.
The movie accurately depicted how men are today and even though I disagree with some of the more subtle points the movie was trying to make, I think the overall message of
"The real world is a confusing place and it's not unusual to feel lost or confused and there's nothing wrong with you if you feel that way and you should keep figuring yourself out instead of worrying about what other people think you're supposed to be."
Was a very clearly made, and we'll intended one.
It took the tropes of the men being ditzy and stupid but the woman is perfect to the extreme. But it also never really took itself seriously during those parts, so far as I can remember it was pretty clear what was a joke and what was a part of the message.
Another message that I think went over a lot of people's heads was how this epidemic of girls who don't take care of themselves, stay in bed all day, scrolling through social media all day is a mental health issue and they related it to woman not knowing how they fit into a post patriarchal society.
Which I think is the biggest issue we face not just as men or woman but as a society.
No, it's a feminist shit show thatentions patriarchy 11 times and "I don't need a man" half a dozen.. I don't need my kids watching feminist bullshit.
Right!
I probably would if she's 10 and older, every movie we watch I try to ask her questions to get her to think about the world. I'm sure that a movie liem that would make her think, sometimes I'd even pause the movie and get her thinking rather than just passive watching.
As for what, it's normally just things like why is that person feeling like that, what happened, do you thin that was right (normally about the villan), is there a way they could have done it differently. She got scared one time so most times I ask her if it's real or not and that calms her down.
No because that's not a movie for children.

If I had children, I would assume that any movie currently produced for kids is loaded with sociopolitical indoctrination. In other words. . . hell no!
I took all of mine we loved it
@meetkitty123 I trust your judgment, so it must be an exception to the current norm.
If I had a teen, yes. Younger kids wouldn’t understand the depth of the story here.
I took my kids in the ages raged from 5 to 14
The five-year-old had no clue what was going on she just love the dance scenes and the pretty colors.
In the teens didn't even understand all the grown-up jokes.

Each kiddo had their own doll specially bought for the movie
Not because of the rating but because of the content. Hell, I haven't seen a new movie in decades because of the woke shit they force down your throat!! That, and the fact that most movies in the past 20-some years are GARBAGE!!!
No, the woke bullshit they're shoving down everyone's throats these days. I wouldn't want my kids getting brainwashed.
I'm way past having young kids, mine are grown. But if I had younguns...
It depends how young. If older than 5, I'd take them. Younger, I'd leave them home.
I'll let you know after I see it tomorrow.
I don't doubt its feminist as fuck, but based on what a Youtuber told me about it, there is something anti-feminists and feminists alike would miss when watching it.
Depending on their age. Prefer G rated movies myself.
But one one is making true G rated movies anymore.
You would think Barbie Movie would be for sure a G rated movie
No but id have them watch the sound if freedom movie… at some point.
Id turn off hollywood garbage and watch old movies.
Well it's not really for kids, but there's enough silly goofy stuff in it that kids might enjoy it too. I don't really know what kids are into these days.
If i had any kids! I would totaly ignore all this age thing PG, R rated and so on. And Barbie? Nah, something else 😁
I haven't seen it so to cosplay that boring parent that never lets my kids do anything, I would say no and do your homework.
I’d check out the content first but it’s ken and Barbie…it can’t be too bad
Thankfully our children are far too young to watch such complete and utter rubbish.
If it's PG and especially if they are you g kids then I won't want them to watch it
😊 goodi
Of course yes because I am not a PC snowflake who get triggers over movies
I thought the Mario movie was pushing it.
parents are way too cool today mine would’ve never allowed me to watch any movie rating that was above PG
i wouldn't allow a third world child to see it
my mom's going to see it with her sisters. she grew up in the barbie era
My son is 14. He watched it with his girlfriend. I do not think he would have watched it otherwise, buy with her he liked it. My daughter is 17 and not interested in this movie.
Do you mean would we allow it if the kids were younger than 13? I think it's quite harmless. As a European I find these ratings exceedingly strict on sexuality, though about right on violence. For example, when they are talking about their doll anatomies that's no problem for me.
I would want to see it (suffer through it) first. It is likely laced with wokeness.
I think that it would be okay. They see worse than that on Netflix.
If I had kids, they would have to be at least preteen like 12 or 13
I guess so, if they wanted to and were old enough which they are now but I don’t think they have any desire to see that movie
Maybe bored or want to see if it’s bad or not
They’d have to wait until they were 13yo. We could stream it at home. Until then they can watch Barbie Swan Lake, or whatever. lol
No, whether they are more than- or less than- or equal to- 13 years old.
My daughter isn’t even interested. So I don’t have to worry about it. 😁
Why are they going to make a movie that little kids are going to want to see PG-13? Stupid
If I had kids I would not take them to the Barbie movie.
Of course not. Movies for adults are not for children.
I recently saw the Barbie movie, in the theater there were age groups of all kind in there, teenage girls, teenage boys, old couples, parents with kids -5, and just a bunch of snazzy folks. The jokes flew over the little kids heads and made us older folks laugh our heads off. I'd bring children, I'd bring everyone.
I have none, but it seems tame enough. Probably boring for them. Which is good for movies. We should stop making “big tent” films where it’s so fcking thin it’s not enjoyable.
My son is 17 and not into Barbie... so in this case no.
Yes, but I had to explain some things after watching this movie in the way this kid recognizes propaganda.
People you realize it is not a teen or kids show just something made to get attention to the brand... The makers don't care what the story was just new barbie movie free publicity and if it is hated all the better!
I need to see it first to make a decision.
I would decide that after watching it
No. Let kids be kids.
No, but I don't think he's interested in it anyway
I would let my child watch anything they wanted to watch.
Depends on age of the child
I have no idea what it is about
I’ve watched R-rated films as a kid, so a PG-13 film can’t be too bad!
my family isn't interested in this nonsense lol we like nerdy things. not this...
yes, i’d see it with them.
I'm not having kids, so moot point.
Sure. It's not Sexual and violent.
No, if she takes after this version of Barbie she would end up as a ugly cat woman or a slut.
@Sasha0426 If the movie is as heavily focused upon pushing that message as this one seems to be, no its not ok.
Ultimately a man is a source of support for a woman and her children driving him away by treating him poorly only leaves her to do everything by herself without any support at all. She can walk away with her pride but that isn't going to put food on the table, or help her with the baby or the bills.
Grow up and treat the people who are helping you with respect and gratefulness.
@Sasha0426 I'm afraid we are not communicating, I'm not upset they made the movie. I'm sure its an artistic masterpiece, Heinrich Himmler made quite a few of them too. I am just saying that if girls try to emulate this verso of barbie they are in trouble.
AS such as a good parent I would not take my daughter to see this knowing how impressionable she can be.
@Sasha0426 What would be the point of that? Barbie dolls have no script they do whatever the player wants the to do. Althou if you feel their physical form being unrealistic for ladies may in fact be harmful to your girl's self-image, you should certantly buy a more realistic doll for her to play with.
Warner bros is responsible for this particular subversive cultural propaganda, or at least the writers they hired like a number of others subject matter.
For adults with a large amount of real world experience from which to recognize theses messages as fiction its probably not that big of a problem. Young children on the other hand who's brains are programed to absorb such information less critically on the other hand can easily be corrupted by it.
Wait, it’s PG-13? I thought it was at least rated PG.
There are too much politics in that movie for kids, and the politics are radical feministic.
All movies are as bad so why not
Nope.
Absolutely yes.
I dont agree with that transgender stuff. That's all I can say without getting ban.
absolutely.. why not
Hell no lol
Does she do Ken? Lol
Yes of course
No because it’s rated PG 13
Hell no, that movie is trash
yes lol
