What do you think about Elliot page being the first trans man to appear on times magazine ❤️?

Attention seeking and an attempt to stay relevant, first trans to do this first strans to do that.
The reality is some 10 years ago no she was a giant name in Hollywood and everyone wanted a piece but after a series of bad movies she faded from memory and where most actors would resort to drugs and alcohol and kill themselves she and her PR team saw an opportunity to get her back on magazine covers. Since Hollywood is hell bent on "diversity" and want to break away from their white man only reputation (even at the expense of some amazing white guy actors) she and her people figured alright let's do something no one has done and make you a trans, after all behind closed doors who knows how she lives her life but as long as she keeps up the act in public she can now hope for major roles as the first trans guy in movies.
These are the same people that are like Pinocchio they want to be a “real boy/girl” knowing full well they never will be. Then they find these damn plastic surgeons and go I just need one more operation and then I’ll feel like a real woman/man they get the operation and want more until they realize that they will never be a true woman/man they want to be, wasting they’re time and the time of others which is why we need the fucking media to stop this bullshit woke ideology of praising people for being gay or a certain race. How would the like it if I a black person created a fake profile on a social media account and told everybody I’m giving $1500 to everybody the only requirement is you have to be white. They wouldn’t like it but you see my point this woke bullshit needs to go and I’m tired of it.
It's great that he's been recognised for pushing a few boundaries, love the body of work from the pre Elliot days. Especially the Umbrella Academy. But if he's going to fully embrace the new persona, should he still be playing Vanya Hargreaves (unwanted seventh daughter, but hugely important to the story for those who haven't caught it. Really recommend a watch of it). It'll give continuity, but now he's male, he's taking a female role.
Good for him. It’s important for him to share his experiences. Since beinf Trans is something that is still misunderstood by a lot of people and he seems level headed enough to discuss his experiences well. It’s just a shame that some people don’t want to listen to their experiences , everyone deserves to be treated fairly.

Well I think everyone has the right to do anything they want with themselves, and I respect their choices. But I also think that the political correctness is getting out of hand towards the lgbtq community. Don't get me wrong I'm glad these people have more freedom than they ever had during history, but these days it became "trendy" to be different and it just burns its mark on the normal part of that community (normal in the sense that they aren't in your face to tell you how different they are). I'm not against Eliot or the types of him, I'm mad towards the prancing fools who pretend and that way alienates the rest of society from accepting and understanding the REAL lgbtq community.
I'm be honest here the world has bigger problems then this thing. We don't care. As the other guy said same interest as the homeless person under the bridge and he is right.
Because we have healthcare issues, money issues, wars, poverty, pollution, cancer and so on.
But no some girl decided to be a man and that's the most important thing in life.
This stupid and sick world needs another war so you wake up and see what's wrong with this picture.
Like if he/she whatever is happy about it it's his own business. If it helps him/she grow is his own business.
its a running joke, i have not had so much fun with idiots pretending t be a unicorn in all my days. i have a bet with someone that there will be some moron who identifies with a dog and will have a sex life with them there all degenerates heading down that dark slope
100% agree man.
Good for him. Still so hot, I'm so

gay for his vagina

Can still tell by the ribcage he's a dude.
@HawkPerception he has nice pert tits she whipped out in a few movies.
Fake tits and a man's body clearly. His ribs still show a man's frame.
@HawkPerception no pre-op titties
“He’s so brave...” haha! Look, it’s a free country (kind of), do what makes you happy. I would respect a trans person and address them by the pronoun they wish (as long as they are respectful to me), but let’s not pretend that reality does not exist. A woman that chooses to identify as a man, is not, nor will ever be a man. And a man that identifies as a woman will never be a woman. Not in reality. But it’s a free country. Play make believe if it makes you happy. Just don’t expect me, or millions other to go along with it.
I don’t hate trans people at all. What I do hate is the politicization around trans issues.
You clearly do hate trans people, if you are saying that they are just pretending. When in reality, a trans man is a man, and a trans woman is a woman. You can play make believe and say they aren't, but biology isn't black and white. Deal with it.
@CyberpunkGhost DNA is pretty straightforward, sweetie-pie. "Elliot" Will never produce semen. Just as "Caitlyn" Jenner will never gestate a fetus.
@CyberpunkGhost you are delusional. Stop pushing this fallacy. Our society is not getting better by engaging in this make believe, it is deteriorating.
And another thing... This is a mental illness. It’s called “body dysmorphia.” There are people who believe their hand isn’t theirs and want it removed. Or anorexics believing they are fat. Or some bodybuilders believing they are scrawny. We used to get people like this help. Now we facilitate and encourage their mental illness. The rates of suicide of trans people pre and post op are virtually identical per the American psychiatric institute. This is a mental illness and we are doing them no favors by entertaining their delusions.
@JamesRandiDebates DNA is not very straightforward actually, it's not black and white at all. For example, 1 in 80000 people born female actually have XY chromosomes, and same amount of born males have XX chromosomes.
If you didn't even learn about basic biology in school, I feel so sorry for your teachers back then. I can't imagine them having students that idiotic that they think only two DNA variations occur.
@CyberpunkGhost There is only male or female DNA. Anything else is a birth defect. Like any other deformity.
@CyberpunkGhost 1 in 80,000? Come on, that’s what you call an outlier. Not the norm.
Transgenderism is a meaningless concept that is often accompanied by pernicious social prescriptions (e. g. pretending historically sex-laden words represent someone's "gender", whatever that is). Given this, I am not particularly pleased with the spread of transgenderism in society that Elliot Page's "transition" represents.
What does it matter to you if he cares or not
For starters, why do you care so much? Aren't you the one who wanted to initiate discussions pertaining to this very topic? Seems like a bit of an ironic question, my friend.
Secondly, I care because, as outlined in my previous comment, the rise of transgenderism begets pernicious social consequences. One of these aforementioned consequences is the fact that the rise of transgenderism has promoted this silly idea that our sex-laden words (male, female, etc...) represent something that is gender-laden as opposed to something sex-laden. This transition in the meaning of these words is toxic to our society because gender is a meaningless concept in every way I have ever heard it defined; not to mention, it Is quite confusing. No one, not even the most prominent gender theorists, agree on what gender means. If that is the case, how can we say that it is something worthy of representation by pronouns? We can't define gender, and when we try to our definitions don't describe anything of significance. And that is the heart of the issue: gender is a useless concept, but trans folks want our society to refer to them by way of pronouns that represent it.
There you are, my friend. If you are going to disagree with me, I would urge you to start by defining gender.
I'm trying to be a good person, not win an argument or accrue social points. If you'd like to open yourself up to a different point of view then pm me, and I will explain to you what people generally tale gender to mean, and why that concept - that idea - of gender, is not useful.
You are young and dumb, much like myself. Don't assume that your current political views are infallible; it could be the case that you're wrong. And of course, if you might be wrong, you should investigate to determine whether you're wrong. How do you determine whether you're wrong? By speaking with those who disagree with you, and seeing if they can convince you that you're wrong. I am also willing to discuss my point of view with you further on this thread if you'd prefer; whatever you're comfortable with. Please don't hesitate to let me know if anything I have said about gender is confusing, or wrong in your view. I would be happy to respond and clarify my meaning, and I too, am more than happy to investigate whether my view is incorrect. I've had to admit I'm wrong on many occasions, and it has only made me a better person in the end, because now my views are more reflective of the truth than they were initially.
@Twinrova. Its weird that she would ask why you would care so much when she posted the discussion. That's weird
@Sparda20xx I agree.
@Sparda20xx I asked because he seems against transgenderism and I can ask questions if I want?
That's a laugh, the girl thinking looking like a man, makes her one. Yet asserts on the front page "I'm fully who I am"
Bitch, three months of no hormone treatments and you'll go back to being a bitch. You're artificially who you are.
i think this sick trend of over exposing 0.1% of society needs to stop. if you put someone on the time magazine, then for their freaking personal achievement and i think that this person has achieved way more impressive things in her/his live than taking some hormones to look like a man.
you don't get to be a "hero" being transgender in todays society anymore. it's normal today, so i really don't get the fuzz about it being special as if we'd still live in the 50s.
I prefer men who were born male. Something about having XY chromosome will never lose its spark. And its hot in itself❤️🔥no hate for trans people.
You'd be surprised how many people born male actually have XX chromosomes, and how many born female actually have XY chromosomes. 1-in-80,000.
Not attacking your preference, you like what you like, just thought I'd mention. It's amazing how the body is.
I think it's nice. It's good to see someone comfortable in their own skin. Plus, transgender people exist so they have the right of being represented in the media.
I thought Ellen Page was hot. She is gone, and so is my internet. Now "He" is about as interesting as that homeless guy I don't care lives under a bridge and will disappear one day.
I really don’t care. I went to a liberal arts college and had all of this shit about trans people pushed down my throat. I think the only people should care are social justice warriors and fellow trans people
I think its great that Elliot is expressing how he feels. From the comments its apparent a lot of people disapprove of his personal choice, which is why I think its even more important for Times magazine to feature him.
So if I got boob implants and said I want to be Pamela Anderson but a trans version should I be on Time Magazine? Should people like my tweets over a million times? Just because someone comes out of the closet doesn’t mean it’s a big deal anymore. Dont the LGBTQ want to be welcomed like everyone else? But why the constant validation for their image? I don’t get it.
im happy for him altho i imagine its tough being a transgender model. best of luck for him
I don't give a fuck
I thought that was a BTS member

LMAO
SHE?
What a sad day and age we've come to in society. I weep for future generations.
I weep for OUR generation!
Surprised it's first trans man feels like that should of happened ages ago bet trans woman did. But other than that don't really care about times magazine so... shrugs.
Ahh yes more virtue signaling and pandering.
Also , that's not a man.
That's a pretentious celebrity.
A woman playing dress up.
Calling yourself a man doesn't make you a man. That's not how manhood works.
We should be allowed to be whoever we want to be. The sky should be endless, otherwise what's the point
PERIODTTTTTT GO OFFF SIS (I call everyone sis no matter their gender) 😌 I love him
Couldn't care less. I have no interest in Pop culture. All these fads come and go. They all leave an impact, but 2 or 3
decades from now people will wonder what it was about and why it got started.
They could have had a hamster on the front cover of Time magazine and I wouldn't know. Never read it.
You’re still a woman with ovaries. Sorry, I don’t believe your illusions of being a man. I’m not the one who needs help.
Glorifying mental illness. Sad. She was pretty cute 15 years ago.
Gender dysphoria. It's a mental illness.
And if someone thinks they are a polar bear? Should we accommodate that delusion as well?
I've made my point, sweetie. So called "trans people" are mentally ill.
Okay, Sugar-tits.
Confusing our men and women till they no longer know if they are men or women. Making you hate guns so they can do away with them and after they are gone there is no way to defend em.
I remember when she tried suing Naughty Dog because she said Ellie looked like her. I give this look about 5 years before she changes to something else.
They look kina sickly, and that posture is terrible..
I think she needs serious therapy and probably has major hormonal problems.
I honestly don't care. Elliot Page isn't an important part of my life.
He sent me unsolicited dic picks. Almost bigger than me, I was impressed. Goooo identity politics!!!
I'm indifferent about it. So to that say, humans be liek dat.
does she have a penis? can she ejaculate sperm out of that penis? if no then she's not a man is she?
I think someone needs to lose an award for competing under false pretenses.
Also, he needs a good lawyer, his ex gonna crush him with alimony.
Does it have a penis?
If not he is not a man.
It can call itself whatever but science is science.
He looks sad but maybe that's what they were going for?
None of my business, really, but it's good that the discussion is mainstream.
I think it's great. At least now some people will realise trans men exist. So many just think male-to-female trans women are the only transgender people.
I don't know why mental illness is being promoted so much, especially for such a small segment of the population.
Gender dysphoria is a mental illness, no one said it wasn’t so It’s useless for you to repeat it.
As for it being glorified, i don’t really se it as glorification it’s more repusentation for trans people as a whole as that’s good for them as that shows trans people that they’re accepted.
Transitioning also helps trans people’s gender dysphoria a lot, I’m not sure why you’re against transitioning cause it seems that way.
#1 I was pointing that out cus I was unsure if you knew. When people call me bigoted, they tend to be very ignorant.
#2 They're being represented just for being delusional. What has this person *accomplished* besides being mentally ill?
#3 I never said I was against it. It's just a delusion, they can get put under the knife if they want.
a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group, that’s the definition of the word bigot and if you deny being associated with this definition in terms of transgender people than you’re just delusional? Like, damn. At least admit to your transphobia?
As for my previous statement about gender dysphoria being a mental illness I’m goin to take accountability and recognize that what I said was incorrect. Gender dysphoria is a state of emotional distress
And as for them being delusional? They are In o way delusional, the only thing that’s delusional is the fact that it’s painfully obvious that you have no idea what you’re talking about when it comes to transgender people. Literal science can debunk your stance and explain why you’re wrong. Gender dysphoris caused by how someone’s body or the gender they were assigned at birth conflicts with their gender identity — is a widely recognized medical condition. If untreated, it can lead to severe mental health issues, including debilitating depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.
So rather than it being a mental illness it’s a state of mental distress that if not treated can lead to actual mental health issues.

And as for what the, might I add highly successful Elliot page has done in his career. He first became known for his role in the film and television series Pit Pony (1997–2000), for which he was nominated for a Young Artist Award, and for recurring roles in Trailer Park Boys (2002) and ReGenesis (2004). Page also received recognition for his role in the film Hard Candy (2005), and won an Austin Film Critics Association Award. Well before his transition he’s been known in the film industry and has had many more accomplishments that I literally can’t state all of them cause
I’d go past gags character limit. Gender dysphoria isn’t a delusion and if you aren’t against it than why did you state the fact “I don’t know why mental illness is being promoted so much” as if you want to silence trans voices? Trans people are subjected to a lot of hate in society just for literally being who they are, they aren’t hurting anyone and I guarantee the hate they go threw isn’t nearly as much as the hate you’re giving to trans people right now but I guarantee you it does contribute to it.
Supporting and recognizing trans issues rather than chastising them like it’s god damn 1948 isn’t going to do shit. Trans lives matter, and their representation in the media matters just as much? This is all I can say as an ally but I suggest you watch actual trans creators if you truly want to educate yourself on trans issues, because it sounds like you don’t ever recognize trans people as human beings?
Ugh, all this "ally" and "you're phobic" talk is sjw crap.
Thinking you are the opposite sex in the wrong body is a delusional mental illness. I'm not afraid of trans people, as a matter of fact I find shemales pretty fucking hot if they pull it off.
I'm from a different era than you where we didn't glorify mental illness out of *pity* for wokeness points. I'm going to call things as I see it and you can say I'm afraid as much as you want but I really am not.
What next? Are you going to say I'm problematic? The generation after you is probably going to call you bigoted if you say a biological man should not compete against a biological woman in women's sports.
This world is turning into a clown world where people are losing their grip on reality.
Ok, call me an sjw if you want. What’s wrong with fighting for social justice? I’m passionate on equality. And as for you mentioning “I’m not scared of trans people” lol, I’ve heard this thousands of times. I can debunk this as easy as breathing oxygen into my body. Phobia in the context of transphobia does not and has never been meant to be interpreted as a fear of. It’s defined in the context of this word as the aversion to something
Source: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/phobia
As you can see this dictionary lists multiple meanings of the word phobia. It’s sad you don’t know that words have multiple meanings.
And I really couldn’t care less about your opinions, their transphobic and bigoted. No matter how much you want to deny those claims you can open up a dictionary and find out what I’m saying is based.
And I’m not going to spend my time arguing on useless stuff like eras. I could care less about what era you’re from. I mentioned nothing about eras so you bringing it up is pointless.
What’s the point of changing the subject? The only plausible reason for you wanting to change the subject is because you literally have no backbone to your argument.
You think that trans people are mentally I’ll freaks, yet at the same time claim that you aren’t against them. If you weren’t against them than you’d recognize that your beliefs causing more harm than the alleged good you believe it does.
Please give me one good that you think your argument does for the trans community. I would love to know.
I don't care about individual communities. I don't care about the black community, I don't care about the white community, I don't care about the gay community, etc. That shit is corny.
Phobia: an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.
I do not have an aversion to trans people, I want to stick my dick in them lol. I just recognize that they are fucking delusional.
Bruh what? So you’re attracted to trans people but admittedly don’t give a shit about their issues?
As for people obsessing over it. Talking about an issue and recognizing that said issue is a problem isn’t in any way obsession? If that where the case than any time anyone watched a ty show they where automatically obsessing over it, which just isn’t the case. They might be watching said ty show cause they like being educated on what happens on said hypothetical tv show.
I’m guessing you’re not into identity politics, and that’s fine if it’s not your thing but I don’t really see how you have the room to speak on something you admit to not being interested in?
If you truly aren’t interested in identity politics than where do you get the whole trans people have a serious mental illness thing from? You bring up your era previously makes a lot of sense now. You mentioned how you identify with the particular era that you grew up in and follow that specific eras beliefs and mindset so in a way you too are participating in identity politics. Just in a different way as I choose to.
I’ll take by the transphobic part but you do sound a little ignorant as it pertains to trans issues and your stances are still in every sense bigoted.
And as for your human wanting to be a rabbit reference, I’m not quite sure why you feel the need to bring that up as the majority of trans people don’t want to be an entire different breed. Most trans people identify inside of the gender binary (female/male) and as you said, what someone decides to identify as isn’t something anyone should care about.
So why do you even go the extra mile to add and emphasize the fact that you believe trans people are mentally ill and delusional? That’s the equivalent of saying, I don’t care that much about my ex but I spam call her number every day.
It’s a counterintuitive statement.
"If you truly aren’t interested in identity politics than where do you get the whole trans people have a serious mental illness thing from?"
The WHO considered gender identity disorder a mental illness until sometime in 2019. I believe that was politically motivated.
I think identity politics to a certain extent is inevitable but it's really going too far. The world is very different than it used to be in a way I am not comfortable with.. free speech is eroding while we infantilize people and glorify problems they have.
It's not just with trans people, not by a long shot. I have nothing against them living their lives so long as I could speak openly about what I think about it.
I think at this point we are going to go around in circles. I think you have good intentions and you are putting sincere thought into this, and if other people fighting for this thing called social justice were more like you than I would not have a problem with it.
Mass media loves to show how virtuous they are. I read Time and Newsweek when I was a teen but I won't touch it these days. It has devolved into a propaganda arm of the Democratic National Committee
Who cares? Time, and just about every other magazine is washed up and desperate for readership.
I find it comical.. Like Bruce Jenner.. She did this for publicity no more no less.
Holy shit. What did she do to herself? This is really sad. She used to be so pretty.
It should have been Kaitlyn Jenner - or maybe Chaz Bono.
It's a cool progress. It should be just normal that trans people are a part of the society.
Don't care. Times is worthless, has been for a long time.
I would think " Time" magazine is still in circulation?
Short little pipsqueak. Can’t protect a woman and would need to look up to the woman. Not much of a man.
She's getting the attention she wanted.
Good for him I guess, can't really say I care though.
I love him sm I’m happy for him
That's pretty amazing!
The only white straight male in the world who is oppressed.
I don't care lol
Don't care. Good for her, now him.
Gratz to him is there an interview of it?
Yes ! It’s right here
https://time.com/5947032/elliot-page/
I love him 🥺🥺
Zero fucks given.
None of my business.
Haven't read time in like ten years.
