Getts the 2nd shot on the 5th of May. Was reluctant until I seen what happend with the single dose. Seen it got pulled so the next day went and got the Pfizer shot. Was also needed since my wife may require surgery this summer.
I'm planning to take it at some point, especially as the longer term effects of the vaccines become apparent. I have some allergy concerns and all of my doctor friends have told me some really sketchy stuff about the vaccines on a chemical level. I'm in a really low risk demographic, so it's not super critical that I get the vaccine anyway.
i know the vaccine dosent work 100% but some protection better than nothing. Besides if it can help stop the spread I’m paying it forward. What I’ve seen is that it helps mainly by preventing death/ending up on the breathing machine. I know we got to take the vaccine again in 6 months, that is because the vaccine was meant for the classic strain, and the new variants have some classic features.
People have been getting the shots for like 4 or 5 months now. How long u gonna wait? I'm listening to a lady on the radio right now talking about her husband's covid death. The whole family caught it, seemed basically OK and then the husband couldn't breathe during the night and then he was dead. Now another dude is talking about his girlfriend who also died. It all happened fast. That lady was a Trump dope. She thought covid was some government conspiracy. She caught it, got pneumonia and now she is dead. People who ignore science and the advice of the smart are doomed. :(
You understand my point perfectly well. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. YOU said, "People have been getting the shots for 4 or 5 months now", and I responded with, "No, not where I live they have not". The virus in Australia was never as out of control as it was in other parts of the world, like the nation you think is No. 1, "America". We don't have "lockdowns", and the vaccines are only now being given.
The point is, humans have been getting the vaccine for 4 or 5 months now. So there is plenty of data available showing the vaccines be safe... unless you feel humans in Australia are different than the humans everywhere else.
Yes, we are different. We're special :) Okay, I get your point. It's just that I've come across some horror stories about what's been happening overseas, in places like Europe with the Astra Zeneca vaccine.
As someone who has worked in drug development. I don't take anything that hasn't been in public use for anything less than 5 years. Also I would wait for something more than EUA (emergency use authorization) from the FDA.
I mean I’m taking it just because it’s the right option for me, maybe I should’ve voted for option 4 actually. Either way, I don’t really trust it since it was rushed and the whole situation is dodgy but I’m pro vaccines so...
My option is not up there. I'm reluctant because vaccines usually take years to develop. There are no long term studies. These vaccines were rushed out for obvious reasons, but they were still rushed.
I got it because I don't want to get Covid, while there is a vaccine available. And look stupid leaving my 2 year old son to raise himself (assuming I died from the vid). The lesser of two evils.
Had my first jab in March, getting my second in June. I'm getting the jabs because I want people to trust to be near me again and I don't want as much anxiety returning to normal life in the summer.
I won't walk in to live traffic ya the rate might be 35% of living but I rather not walk in at all. Similarly. Rate of not getting covid-19 is better chance to giving covid-19 my healthy body when not sick and then expecting the one that made me sick to make me healthy lol no way. I am not taking it at all.
I'm pretty sure I had COVID already. And I already take meds that alter my immune system. I have no idea what this rushed vaccine will do. So nah, i won't be taking it any time soon.

Refusing it, I'm not some fake woke liberal who lacks a brain and acts like I get the vaccine just because I care for the whole population. The vaccine's long term side effects will be visible in years, and we're gonna give birth to a genetically inferior population.
I've gotten mine already. I did it because if I got sick, there'd be nobody around to take care of my children. I have breathing issues already, I don't want to complicate things.
I listen to science over trashy people who think that the vaccines were made because Bill Gates wants to spy on us lol

I got my first Moderna by a random fluke as under 60s are not eligible yet in BC. I’ll have to wait for summer to get the second dose, or come back to the States.

I am now fully vaccinated and its been 3 weeks since my second shot. Ready to stop being afraid and start doing more.
Sweet! I got my 2nd shot yesterday. I felt crummy last night and this morning but now feel fine. Time to move forward! :)
Yes to that

i'm not convinced we can stop the spread-too many won't take it. i suspect that all we can do is protect ourselves and those around us.
@Sabretooth true, even if half of the people take it that’s half the transmission and half deaths.
there's also the variants. i fear that that we've let this thing get too far out of control. there's just so many negative variables.
Voted E. I'm in no hurry. I'll wait for all those who are eager for this to have their shots first, and see what happens to them.

In Australia it's just now being introduced, so no, it hasn't been "4 or 5 months".
So only Australia has people? I don't understand your point. Explain, please.

I'm wearing of unknown side effects.

I’m taking it just to get it over with and my job requires it basically.
Good enough!

Already had two injections of the Pfizer vaccine. No serious side effects.
Sweet!
Already had my 2 Moderna shots. Politics had nothing to do with it.
Did you vote A?
Yes, voted A
:) :)

I got my second dose a couple of weeks ago. i only wear a mask when somebody asks me to. I am trying to get back to normal.
