Are things better today with all the changes?

Before internet and cell phones and Gov't debt was it better than today. My answer is yes.

Economy was never shut down

National Debt was payable

People's IDs were not stolen

Prices were lower.

You didn't have to stand in lines and wait 6 months for surgery or seeing a doctor or dentist.

There were more stores to choose from.

Jobs were more and not as hard to get.

Media was more neutral and not so Liberal and pro Democrat.

Less inflation.

You still had freedom of speech

Products lasted longer

People knew their neighbors.

It didn't take 2 months to get your car fixed

Oh, but I do. Smallpox was only eradicated in 1979, same with Polio. Healthcare as opposed to today could be considered pretty much medieval. Internet which is the greatest accomplishment of humanity by order of magnitudes had barely gotten started and had yet to even begin to show its potential.

African Americans where only allowed to buy houses in certain areas in 1968 because of the Fair Housing Act not to mention all the other blatant attacks on Americans freedoms on the basis of their race.

You might enjoy looking back with your rose colored glasses but that period of time was objectively terrible by modern standards.
