It doesn't matter what we think. Putin doesn't give a damn.

That said, the more that pile on, to leverage Putin, the better.

It should be that way with any unprovoked aggression, for ANY nation or individual. The world should freeze their assets, stop doing business with them, and isolate them. They, or their peoples will eventually get tired of living like paupers, and demand their ouster, or stage a mass revolt and revolution.

I'd say the main problem is that the Russia propaganda machine is pretty strong. So when sanctions affect the population as much or moreso than the bureaucrats, it's easy for them to use that as anti-American fuel. Luckily many of them, especially their Millennials, see through their BS and know squarely where to put the blame.

So when it comes to Russian oligarchs, the more the merrier. Broader sanctions should be tactful. Basically get the oligarchs so economically destroyed that if they want to make up for it, THEY would have to be the ones to put economic hardship on their own people, and then the people can't ignore who, exactly, got them into this mess.

That being said I would *love* to see Western nations having this same energy when it comes to Israel invading and oppressing Palestine- I mean, I’m not for war unless it’s absolutely necessary, but the hypocrisy from our governments and media when it comes to Ukraine, compared to Palestine, Yemen, Libya and basically any country invaded by the US, UK or any other Western country is just fucking astounding at this point.
