+1 yThis Q is seriously putting me at odds with almost everyone here but I'm in favor of Will Smith here.
Chris made a horribly bad joke about his wife. Will chuckled as you'd expect from a guy receiving back-to-back jokes, looked at his wife to see if she was hurt, and decided to make a stand like a real man. Some people seem to think him looking at his wife was simping but I think the opposite. A simp wouldn't check to see if the girl is hurt first. Simps tend to get involved in situations where women aren't even hurt. There's a delayed reaction time with these things.
And what Will Smith did is the polar opposite of cancel culture. He just stood up there and directly slapped a man for making the most tasteless joke about his wife. He didn't seek to ruin his career, he didn't gossip, didn't spread false rumors about Chris Rock, he didn't dig up shit about Chris Rock's history like some gigantic vagina. He walked up there and slapped the man. He did it right as a man should do.
People on here keep telling me like what he did was assault, blah blah, or digging into his shit and his relationship and judging him so hard like these cancel culture types of vagina sheep. "I'm so outraged by what Will Smith did! Outrage! Heresy! Ban him, shun him!" Fuck that. WTF is going on with this feminine, whiny, outrage culture, and how absent does one have to be in critical thought to tie their sense of right and wrong to what is and isn't legal?126 Reply- +1 y
*Defends outrage from a cuck*
*Whines about outrage culture*
Which is it? - +1 y
As far as I see it -- these people digging up all this shit about Will Smith, judging him so hard not only on that one action but his entire history of actions, being so outraged by it -- they're the feminine ones. They're the giant vaginas. Jim Carrey is a giant vagina. These are the cancel culture types of people. They're girly, vindictive, indirect with their confrontations, whiny, prone to hold epic grudges, and have no sense of honor.
- +1 y
That was an entire fucking paragraph.
Which the FUCK is it? - +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel You're confusing a level-headed post with whining like a little faggot trying to become a boxer with no stamina, you gossipy and judgmental little girl. Unfortunately, we can't resolve this in a proper fight where I can help you from fainting 2 minutes into it. :-P
- +1 y
"You wanna gooo?"
"You wanna goooooooo?"
Hey dumbass..
.. which the FUCK is it? - +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel Well Mr. *Incel fuck-face, I ain't whining. So you seem to be confused.
- +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel As for the whole cuck thing, I don't give a shit about that which you type all into gossip seem so passionate about. I don't give a flying shit. Do you get me? Now I did you bad hurling a lot of shit at you so you can do the same and after, if you aren't too red-faced, maybe we can have some beers and call it a truce as real men do.
- +1 y
I'm not making a truce with someone inbred enough to contradict themselves and then refuse to explain it.
That's you by the way. I'm gonna as you one more time and make it real slow.
Which.. is.. it? - +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel In-bred is a rather weak retort if you don't mind me saying! :-D Are you incapable of something a little bit more creative and interesting? Typing in caps like "which the FUCK is it?" comes off like you're having an aneurism like what I wrote just fucked you up so hard. I already think I made it clear to everyone else that you confused a level-headed response (just re-read what I wrote) with a whiny tone, although the tone is ambiguous over text. I can understand if you're confused that way.
Also in terms of defending outrage culture from a cuck, first you're only passionate about the idea that he's a cuck because you love to follow gossip and media about celebrities and judge them so hard. That makes you a bitch.
So basically you're a bitch, you suck at insulting people, and you're deeply confused about tonality. Is there anything else you want to tell me? - +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel Did you take too many blows by the way of engaging in sparring for your boxing training? That can have some a due effect on the brain. I came across your Q earlier but maybe throw in some more organ meats in the diet. Mostly if you want the adrenaline though, you gotta summon it but not like the way you're doing. It has to be semi-controlled.
- +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel I'm really enjoying this conversation by the way!
- +1 y
Alright let's break this down.
Your mom's a worthless sloppy joe dispenser.
Don't flatter yourself.. I'm telling you you NEED to answer me directly instead of trying to lead us off track and you're mentally incapable of doing that.
Any wannabe-Chad boi talking about this "real man" shit is a whiner. I was right.. you're in denial.
I'm a bitch for judging a cuck for being a cuck? Reach.
Looks like the bitch is you because I told you to explain yourself and you're STILL running away from it because you know you're WRONG.
"I'm really enjoying this convers-" Cope harder. - +1 y

Which the FUCK is it? 馃槉
- +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel That was much better! Bravo! Now I feel like I'm talking to someone with some wits about them. All right, let me try to break this down, and I'll refrain from further insults. I'll just focus on outrage/cancel culture tackling both of your options.
First, what I am calling "outrage/cancel" culture is not really about the outrage of individuals. It's about people gossiping and pointing fingers and acting like a cowardly mob seeking to ruin someone's entire career from behind their back. It's a very toxic and feminine way and the complete opposite of the direct approach -- as we're having in our little dispute -- which some might call "toxically masculine" but at least we're not spreading rumors behind each other's backs and seeking to destroy each other that way. At least we're attacking each other directly.
Does that make sense now? Will Smith's actions don't conform to the pathology of outrage/cancel culture. Of course, he might have been outraged when he slapped Chris. If so, that's the outrage of a man seeking to directly settle things with another man. It's not the outrage of a cowardly and backstabbing type of man going behind Chris Rock's back and seeking to cancel his career while recruiting as many people to his cause as possible to attack Chris from behind his back.
Does that clear things up? - +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel As for the notion of "real men", I am guilty of using that to try to encourage a different way for men but only in the moral sense. Suppose I went around spreading rumors about you behind your back as a result of this little conflict we're having, and on top of it I went around digging up every single little piece of dirt about you, including things I can take out of context, to spread and recruit people against you. Maybe I can find some controversy and some fitting label for it like "cuck" or "simp" or whatever it is, and start using that against you and recruit sheep to call you the same, as people are doing to Will Smith. I would consider that very unbefitting of a "real man" with any sense of honor, and that's why I'd never participate in such a thing. If I have beef with you, I take a direct approach.
- +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel... and so we need a C option. I can't choose either of your options since they present a false dichotomy that fails in representing my angle.
C) * Tries to protect people (both Will Smith and Chris Rock in this case) from backstabbing, rumor-spreading, cowardly mobs seeking to socially outcast people and ruin their careers.
That's the correct option. - +1 y
The dipshit ruined his own career by overstaying his welcome among the elite. He's just not relevant anymore but for some reason people still treat him like he is. The whole relationship thing is just another thing to tear him up over.
Chris is a comedian. If he wasn't pissing people off he wouldn't have been doing his job. There was nothing to settle.
So you admit to being morally manipulative? Good to know. I never had much of an issue with people saying things behind my back. I've confronted someone when he apologized to a third party on my behalf but I'm not sure that's the same.
You're not protecting anybody. Will is doing all of this to himself and deserves everything he gets. - +1 y
@F媒rdracaD贸cincel I never really cared so much for Will Smith in the first place. What I find problematic is the more general kind of trend I see in our society where people are having their careers and reputations threatened and sometimes even successfully ruined by these outraged mobs buying into and spreading gossip. Some seem to be under the false impression that this is a problem only concerning big celebrities. Yet there are many ordinary people whose livelihoods are far more threatened if something they said/did managed to outrage the wrong person. We don't hear from all those people; they just disappear.
>> You're not protecting anybody. Will is doing all of this to himself and deserves everything he gets.
I'm protecting him and anyone else from sheep-like people who think they know what someone deserves in life just based on some media snippets and gossip: people hasty to condemn and slow to think. - +1 y

@F媒rdracaD贸cincel I'd suggest the above video since I think it's articulating where I'm coming from much better than I can; we seem to be stuck talking across each other.

+1 yI like will smith, absolutely detest his wife though, something wrong with her. Her man that she was vocal about never being up for an Oscar turns up on red carpet face as miserable as sin. It had to be about her, nobody else all about her. Airing her sordid life and embarrassing her husband, is that normal? Her 2 kids are turning out just like her rather than their father, annoying as fook with limited talent of their own, a bit like the beckhams and madonnas children.
Will smith did wrong the highlight of his career was winning and Oscar and its ruined, he will be lucky if he's ever nominated again for anything.
Chris rock is paid to be a dickhead to all that attend the Oscars, he's a lot tamer than Ricky gervais who calls hollyweird paedos. If that was Ricky will attempted to slap, Ricky would have punched him back down stairs and not give a fk.10 Reply
i just don't like how will smith laughed at the joke at first, then came up and punched him? like, why'd you laugh then hit him, it's either funny or it's not funny so pick a side.

+1 yChris Rock told a stupid joke, but awards ceremonies are filled with stupid jokes, often aimed at celebrities and members of the audience. It's almost always done in fun and the person who's the brunt of the joke just takes it in stride.
Will Smith was stupid to assault Chris Rock, no matter what he thought of the joke. If he was really upset about it, he could have accosted Chris Rock (verbally) backstage, after the show. To hit someone on network television watched by millions was totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, both Chris and Will get free publicity out of this.00 Reply
+1 yNeither, two glorified Hollywood actors who are middle-aged men acting like children. I can understand if Will Smith did this twenty years ago but now, it's just sad. Former WWF/E wrestler Mick Foley (aka Mankind) said that if the Rock (Dwayne Johnson) made that joke, Will Smith wouldn't try anything. Will Smith chose a situation because Chris Rock is smaller than him. Later during the show, people gave him a standing O over Will's Oscar win, *yawn*. I lost respect for him and his apology doesn't mean anything.

I agree Chris Rock was out of line but i've seen Will Smith laugh at Chris Rock roast people much harsher during the MTV awards in the early 2000s.00 Reply
+1 yChris Rock didn't hit Will or Jada, he said something, that was not even remotely bad? Cause Demi was a badass in that movie. Jada should have said something slick back, like you know thats right. People teased Lance Armstong back in the day because he lost a testicle, calling him uniballer etc. Southpark is totally gotta make an episode about this!
10 Replyyou people are making something out of nothing. there are no sides here.
Chris shouldn't have made that joke and he got what he deserved.
Will was right to be angry but he took it too far, especially when it was a comedic bit.
so i expect them to say sorry to each other and let bygones be bygones, otherwise they would be just petty old men.00 Reply
+1 yChris Rock always plays too much. The joke wasn't that bad and he seems used to getting hit. Will Smith is whimpy and that slap made him look even more feminine. I dont side with either. I stopped being a Will fan long ago and Chris Rock has always annoyed me. I will say that Will hit the right one cause anyone else wouldve bopped his ass right back and off the stage. Jada is the dom in that relationship anyways so i doubt his little slap impressed her

but i love drama , will smith just love cuckold , it is true. he found out his wife sleep with other men and it make him love her even more , and he prove it at oscar award , the guy laugh at rock joke first but change his mind after he saw his wife reaction.
it is not that weird , these days , men who love the idea about their wife have sex with other guy are way more common than most people think00 ReplyI don鈥檛 know them too well but I don鈥檛 like what Chris made a joke about Jade. I also don鈥檛 like the way Will attacked Chris. They are equally wrong. violence is more worse even though it was just slap. I don鈥檛 approval it

It was just a silly joke, it wasn't even serious. I'm have a scalp condition that left my hair thinning, but I don't go around slapping the shit out of everyone because I'm insecure.
Will Smith is way too rich and blessed to be acting out over a single comment when all the other celebs and movies were getting roasted too.00 Reply

Everyone gets roasted at the Oscars. What Will Smith did was show he believed he and his wife were the first people in history who were somehow above that.
What an asshole.01 Reply- +1 y
It shows us woman are serious people with no sense of humour. Which explains why female comedians suck
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI know assholes like will smith. They think that they can say anything that they want and it should be taken as a joke but when someone makes a joke that they dont like they can't handle it. He has been handled like he is royalty but he is nothing and people should realize it. Oprah is to blame for pumping this oddball couple up into black royalty
