I don't think you can gain sympathy if you actually committed sex offenses... With Johnny it's quite clear that she's the abuser. I don't know if Kevin Spacey has such compelling evidence. Maybe. We'll see. Like this isn't a free card for rapists and wife beaters to flip the table on their abuse victims easily. There has to be good evidence in their favor like with Johnny.

I think the case is open in the UK, so if he doesn't go there he won't be tried. So I think now he has agreed to go to the UK to face the charge
