This is really a horrible tragedy. It sounds like the plan for the repair was defective or the repair itself was defective. In any event, things like this just simply should not happen and people should be more careful with critical structures like bridges. I'm very sorry for the loss to the families.

Did you even read the facts about the incident.
Over 500 people were on the bridge and intentionally making it swing. Also it was more than 100 years old bridge.

This is horrible and I'm really sorry for all the people who died and their families. I heard on the news that there were too many people on the bridge. I guess that was the problem.

It's horrible. It's likely a failure at every level from construction materials, to engineers, to architects to construction companies.
