If by collapse you mean no longer exerting any worldwide power and/or no longer existing like the USSR, I would say 500-1000 years. Republican Rome last 500 years, then the Roman Empire last 500 years. USA isn only 250 years old.

It will begin spiraling down the next time Democrats have the presidency and the legislature. On the other hand, that's when all the guns and ammunition come out. And you know who has them.

I predict the Republicans will prevail in the midterms because Democrat policies are so absolutely horrible. I think that JD advance will have one good term as president. But then Democrats will be voted in. So my answer is 10 to 20 years. If I think that day is approaching, I will buy guns, ammunition and denominational silver coinage. There was a good chance the paper dollar will collapse. Along with electronic infrastructure. I think our culture is going back to maybe 1880. It would also be advisable to buy a horse and Amish wagon.
