When do you think the United States will completely fall apart?

And never again be united. The way things are going right now, I'm placing bets on 2028. What say you? :)

Wild guess as to timing: the stock market tops this year and it becomes obvious the war in Ukraine is lost, leaving US’s European allies in a financial crisis due to permanent loss of cheap Russian energy. US bonds gain value as part of a flight to safety and European assets fleeing to the US for perceived safety trigger a bear market rally during 2025 and perhaps part of 2026. After this, with the pressure of continued de-dollarization, Japan finds it impossible to continue the carry trade and the interest rates begin to move up in earnest. The bond market collapses and this causes a banking crisis. The stock market collapses in earnest, depositors in US banks learn that Dodd-Frank was never meant to protect average people as the banks “bail-in” their deposits: the banks take their money, impose limits on withdrawals, and give them shares in the bank, which are worthless. Meanwhile, commodity values and inflation soar. Everyone at this point realizes the US is a banana republic. I can imagine the USG becoming even more repressive, imprisoning people with “incorrect” opinions and the like, but with the dollar’s loss of reserve currency status the government cannot afford to project force externally and eventually loses its grip internally. A smart leadership would rein in the elites, turn to hard currency, and try to rebuild, but our elites are greedy morons. It is at this point, probably after 2028, that states or regions begin to go their own way.

It appears to have started, it’s rapidly sliding down a mountain, just no one has noticed it, at some point it will go into free fall and then hit the bottom. Just looking at some of the opinions below shows some are pushing everything down hill faster.

It's falling now day by day as the crisis at the border continues to be a problem because that's what the Demoncrats want. With all the food processing plants mysteriously burning down. Farmers being paid to not farm the land so that equals less food but millions of more mouths to feed as they keep pouring in so pretty simple math right? Then if they assassinate Trump like some are predicting I believe that could literally spark a civil war because so many people are putting their Hope and Faith into that one man coming back and writing the ship but if they take that away. I believe many of his followers would feel like a wounded animal that's cornered and they have no choice but to lash out in violence. Then the people on the left can say see they're becoming violent we have no choice but to kill them to protect our society. There's many meaningless pawns in this game. But glory to God Jesus Christ the savior of the world has already won the victory. Do yourself a favor put your faith and trust in him join the winning team. Romans chapter 10 verse 9. For the NWO to rise the United States must Fall it is going to happen just a matter of time. There's a reason why the United States is not mentioned in the Bible in the book of Revelation it's because when all that goes down it's already gone.

I don't think it will happen by 2028 there's still too many things hat are holding it up. Even though the dollar is starting to be used less it's still the most important currency and important trading partner etc. I think it will be a more gradual process. Like by 2040 the debt and interest payments let's see what it is by then and what happens to the government because when they actually have to start cutting back and raising taxes the people will be upset. They've been living in a boom based on borrowed money and still find ways to be mad about everything imagine when things actually get tight.

The US will not fall apart anytime soon. It will change radically, and there will be some tough days ahead, but the system is still working how it was designed and showing tremendous resilience in the face of changing times. We still have more going for us than most other countries in the world.

All empires fall apart, the never reuniting part is a big issue, because invariably the lands of the empire may at some point be reunited as long as there are people there to do so.

Its hard to imagine the States of North America not reuniting again and again in a increasing globalized even if its not under Washington.

Rome for example is reunited under the EU and in lesser degrees at various times since thou Rome as a contentious state had fallen by the 5th century.
