i think if you consider his socio-economic status and the place of the world he lived in, he wouldn't have gotten much older anyway. i don't think there was a correlation between him washing and hi dying.

Makes me wonder how he survived in terms of hydration. Was he never in 60 years near some water lake, oasis or sea?

  Yeah, something tells me he's just hygienophobic. I bet even ancient Babylonia found ways for sanitation but without our current conveniences. There no excuse to not wash yourself. I refuse to believe he had no opportunity in 60 years. He's been literally filth on legs.

  He allegedly almost drowned in his 30s which made him hydrophobic, but you're right. There are other ways to wash. There are tribes in Africa who wash without water.
