It seems really strange, but would you like to be a live billboard to earn money?

They do this on many street corners where I am. Chicken joints, sub joints, mattress guys just to name a few. One guy does bike tricks with American flag on back. He has four "billboard" on his corner. People actually give him money at stop lights...
They has these in my town for a while. Huge ones above the roadway and some on top of taxis/ubers. They proved distracting to drivers and were removed l/banned, thank goodness.
Ok I am from germany and I have never heard or seen this. But it reminds me of these store mascots, isn't that the same?

Sounds pretty typical. Most European countries deliberately create weird jobs like this in order to keep everyone employed - a more stereotypical example of this is having multiple people in government buildings who's sole purpose is to staple papers or sharpen pencils.
Thats so good
In the USA, in front of a good many store openings or promotional sales, or a new housing development for sale or rent, there are "sign wavers and dancers", sometimes in costumes, whose intention is to catch the eyes of drivers passing by, or in some cases pedestrians passing by.
That's pretty stupid. Then again they're also letting in all those feral migrants who then rampage through the streets at night so... Yea. I think Germany needs to get it's collective shit together.
Also shutting down all the coal plants so they could rely on Russian natural gas was absolutely asinine.
Do you live there? Still seems to be doing better than America. Also, don't you feel sorry for refugees.
Thankfully I don't live there, and after seeing the videos of how they behave whatever sympathy I had is gone. These are violent young men who should know better.
I'm pretty sure all immigrants don't have the same behavior. They can deport those who behave badly.
They could and should deport them and yet they won't. It's like the political class has detached from reality. The situation is similar in France.
The US already has something like this. People with signs typically advertising local establishments.
It's an easy job just walk around get paid. Along with walking been healthy. So in reality this job is actually a good thing though people might not see it due to thinking it's embarrassing.
I've seen live people IRL carrying advertisement songs in the USA and twirling them, etc. for over 20 years already, especially during tax season.
I think German "Arbeitsamt" [Jobcenters] made it just to humiliate its "customers".
Sounds tiring, but if they were paying a good rate for it I might do it as a side hustle or something.
Sign carriers have been around for hundreds of years world wide. It's nothing new.
ABSOLUTELY NO! That’s why people go to college!
Hmmm, wonder what a billboard advertising a nudist colony would look like?
Not a bad idea and maybe worth trying but not for too long
That's not a live billboard and no thank you
Maybe if it paid good. There are people who hold and flip signs
Me they'd have to have quite a bit of money for me to do live billboards. It's not worth standing out there making like a fool. Unless they're willing to pay me a lot of cash
It depends. Am I allowed to walk? Or do I have to stand in one place? I don't think I would enjoy being stationary for long periods of time.
I thought this was thing already. The pay people to wrap their cars in ads, or tattoo brand names on their foreheads…
I am seeing more and more vehicles in the U. S. with moving billboards. This is a way to short cut regulations re advertising.
I already see that here in Miami. Have seen that for a few years now.
