The US says it might be spying although why and on what is a question. The Chinese say it's a weather balloon that was blown off course. The US won't shoot it down because "the debris might endanger people on the ground" which sounds like serious BS. What do you think about all this?
I wouldn't be surprised if there's even any working tech on board, it's not needed. Even if there is it isn't going to gather anything useful.
But what it has successfully done is expose Americas inability and unwillingness to deal with it. It sends a huge message that America can't pop a balloon.
Hostile countries often fly planes close to other countries airspace, it's simply a tactic to see how long they'll take to respond. This is exactly the same, an experiment to observe how America reacts.

It's bizarre I really don't know what to make of it Montana is way off course for a bit of wind not sure if there are many us military bases and such in the area might just be the Chinese seeing how the USA reacts to the incursion
I don't know what to think. Just stay up to date with the news
There may be some truth to the debris concern but it should have been shot down once it reached the Air Defense Identification Zone.

Joe Biden won't shoot it down because the Chinese own him. How can a balloon fly all across the Pacific ocean and end up in Montana? They are surveying farmland they want to buy. Somebody needs to keep track of land purchases in Montana for the next year or so.
Could be just a weather balloon. It is right to be cautious about shooting it down as it could be carrying biological, chemical, radioactive or incendiary materials
I honestly believe it might just be a weather balloon. Because why would you even want to spy on us of all people we’re already importing and exporting work from there to here, and technically aren’t there a weaponry better
