dear friends, 6 days have passed since the earthquake. still some people are surviving under the rubble but our loss is too much. Pets, children, the elderly... everyone died. Turkey's south-east was flattened. Our loss is too much. I'm not getting anything. I am ashamed to sleep in my warm bed, to eat, to watch TV. Even drinking a glass of water while people are there makes me feel guilty. Thank you for the nice messages from friends like you from different countries and nationalities.

Only heard a little about... horrible, can only imagine that people are dying under rubble right now. Little kids, families, homeless kids that lose their families. Then they have to live outside in the cold.

I was wondering when such would occur given rumor the earths core was rotating again. I would assume that creates flow/change and pressure changes that ripple up. If that is true, then more to come... somewhere, maybe Tsunami's. Be prepared!

I'd thought of training rescue dogs, that be a rewarding career to save lives. Maybe I should, but out of my skill set at the moment.

But I've not sent anything, how do you even do that to be effective?

Note that Syria was hit as well. Those people have been through misery for a long time... horrible.

Hopefully the world can show how it pulls together in time of need. Very difficult to get aid around when roads, systems are destroyed.
The UN is aware of this, has people/systems in place. Hopefully the respective organizations and militaries can get help there quickly. Hopefully they have good caring people there to help children. The impact of losing family, not knowing, water and systems gone, would be devastating.

That is tragic to hear about. I prey for the safety and well being of all those affected. I have not donated as this may be a region prone to this sort of thing and a long term solution will be most effective. I have made donations to ukrainian refugees most recently in the form of supplies like toiletries, toothpaste and household items for family lodgings in stadiums.

I hope some charitable organizations can gain the aid required to help those most affected in the short term in turkey now.

I feel very badly as I know it is extremely difficult for a lot of citizens in certain areas prone to flooding or earthquakes to relocate and live in areas more environmentally stably over time as they may be leaving behind family, have country constraints allowing them to freely leave, many may want to stay if they have employment or strong sense of community ties and love for their country, or may not have the funding in place to leave long term.
It is never less heart breaking to see it happen - especially to see young kids caught up in it as that is like seeing your childhood memories crumble away in an hour.

Its a tragedy, thousands people died and lost their home and safety. My condolences with them. Been experiencing earthquakes in my city, although me and my family okay and our home was fine but the trauma never really recovers, can’t imagine how about those people who lost everything including their loved one. Turkey can pay for it's own clean up. It can pay for it with the equipment and resources it has stolen from Syria over the past several years. I don't support thieves and murderers.

I feel sorry for Syria, which also suffered severe damage and loss of life from the quake, but has also been under a brutal siege by the U. S. for no reason at all. Therefore, it is severely lacking in equipment for firefighting, rescue, clean up, and medical care, as well as necessary drugs.

The Syrian government cares WAY more about its people than Istanbul government cares about its own. My support goes to Syria, a victim of western aggression.

There is a reason, but it's probably going to make you hate the Americans even more. You'll also see it with the American support of Ukraine. Russia is trying to get pipelines of oil and gas from point A to point B... from Russia over to the countries in the west. Bashar al-Assad being willing to work with the Russians is what made Syria a target for America and what leads them to supply those that would help destroy the chances of a Russian pipeline. America is trying to keep trade in the U. S. petro dollar, meaning as long as people are using American Dollars to trade for oil, they maintain some sort of hold on the world.

Not trying to piss you off, I mean I'm American, but the "for no reason" stuff has reasons... reasons that are pathetic and shitty, but still there's the reason. As far as I'm aware, from the UK alone, we have sent 78 search and rescue specialists... This to me, is too few.. The number of deaths in the coming days is going to triple.

70 countries have pledged help, but it needs to be immediate!! Hope for these survivors will be running out by tomorrow, (day 3) with temperatures as low as they are, hypothermia, dehydration and pain.. 😔💔
