I remember watching it with my dad, it was all news all the time, now they sit around and talk about the same thing over and over,.. trump this trump that, blah blah. When Ted Turner owned it.. it was popular. If they produced national news, with focus on affiliates from around the country to report on good things, bad things, traveling across the USA and a bit of international news I'd watch it. but many stations cycle the same 20 stories, over and over and over again.

No, CNN has lots of liberal competition (MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC) and the quality of CNN's reporting has gone down in recent years, continuing shows that have been on too long (ex: The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer).

CNN pioneered 24-hour news in 1980, now it's just another face in the crowd.

Not really, with all the negativity in today's world, who needs to be reminded of it 24/7. It always seemed to be fabricated stuff with no merit or backbone either.

Not surprised at all. CNN is the most overtly biased of the news outlets on the left.

Most of the mainstream media outlets are biased on the liberal side, but CNN is to liberal media as Fox is to conservative media. The liberal bias of most of the other mainstream outlets is more subtle.

I think people are sick of the bias on both sides, but Fox is really the only conservative one. All the others are liberal biased, and CNN is the worst of them, by far.

Not really surprised, Fox Is biased but, much of the left is outright fabrication. Their political candidates totally depend on this alternate reality and fabrication to win elections. Their ratings drop is a bellwether to the next election not going well for Democrats. Of course, Nothing under Biden has been going well for the country.
