Only if the insane Dr. Strangelove maniacs in the U. S. State Department and DOD push the imbeciles in government to start it. They've been obsessed with world domination for half a century and the other superpowers of Russia and China don't intend to let that happen, regardless of U. S. sanctions, threats and intimidation.

America just wants to get war ready testing and real-time data on its latest military assets for the purpose of capitalism. Thats about as much as America is involved.

Launching an invasion of Ukraine wasn't a US foreign policy and yeah they're probably benefiting from the war but I'd wager that the US would still supply Ukraine with lethal aid even if defense contractors didn't have as much influence as they do.

@Ad_Quid_Orator I agree that the US would still supply Ukraine with military aid, but there would not be as much of it needed and it would not be used up so quickly and need to be replaced so rapidly as it does during a war.

The Afghanistan war served this purpose for nearly 20 years, but all things end, and now that it is over, there needed to be a prompt replacement. Ukraine is the replacement, and as a bonus, it involves relatively less US military involvement and thus fewer US casualties, and as a result less pushback from US voters. What US involvement there is usually is handled by contractors and of course, they are too busy making money to vote in mass anyway.
