I think it is hard to say. Russia is certainly struggling with having to recruit North Koreans willing to be slain in droves. Needing to buy drones from Iran. It's economy is taking hits but countries can go for a long time with the economy on a wartime footing. In WWI Russia lasted till 1918 before there was a revolution. In short I wouldn't hold out on Russia collapsing. They are not resorting to eating turnips as in WWI.

China has come in support of Russia with bans on drones which will hit Ukraine hard for supplies in that area. So their inventive use of drones may be under threat. Possibly China will look the other way if done through other countries.

Russia losing Syria is a major blow to them in more than just prestige. Their ability to support and extort African states become more difficult. If the Baltic states enforce safety checks on the Russian aged dark oil fleet then there will more pressure on them.

Would Russia back down if there were cold war like embargoes? Nobody really needs Russia so it is plausible even Putin might decide the cost is too high. That is I think the best chance of resolving it.

So far we (EU) only have the legal framework to transfer accumulated interest of said money to Ukraine, not the money itself.
I am also not sure its amount would be even close to all the destruction that Russia caused.
