I predict it to end in 2026, based on three observations: Russia's national welfare fund is running out of money in 2026, their MBT/IFV armor reserves have been depleted (T-80s are gone) and for a few months now, Ukraine is killing more Russians per month than Russia can recruit.

Many of the Russian better trained troops (from VDV to Wagner) are eliminated. What has been recruited since that, have mostly been old men, prisoners and village drunks and that only for the 40.000-50.000$ signup bonuses. But the money for that is running out. Putin is a murderous devil, but even he doesn’t want to risk a USSR 2.0 scenario.
