Did they arrest this man out of racial favoritism?

This Indian man was arrested for hugging and grabbing on a Korean travel vlogger. Although she was alarmed by it, she herself did not even report the situation, but authorities arrested him after there was major outcry from viewers about his actions.

If it was a dark-skinned Indian woman making a travel vlog and quite attractive, I highly doubt police would've cared to do anything about the guy hurting his own. But because this woman was a fair-skinned Korean who is considered conventionally cute, and in another country, authorities made sure to do their job this time.

What do you guys think? Was it racial favoritism?

If the person is a tourist, a handshake is a general step at maximum.

Hugs are okay, if you have known that person for a long time, and if both are of the same gender.

If the opposite gender then it is PDA, and unacceptable.

- A new law is made, that says. If you get into a relationship with woman and even if once you promised her to marry her, even though you did not propose to her. But you were in a relationship with her. Then you break up with her, or do not marry her or you marry anyone else. She can easily file a simple report and send you to JAIL for 10 years.

Correct, she did not report it. All she said was "They love to hug" and then she was like "let's get out of here." That was it. They arrested him because she was fair-skinned and East Asian. If she was of their own people nothing would've been done and they know it.

I just watched that video. That arrest and criminal charge was absolutely insane. At best the police should have just talked to the guy and tell him wasn’t okay to touch that woman and it made her uncomfortable (and it was just on HER shoulders for crying out loud). Why waste precious time and police resources arresting this guy?

Anyway this is why I won’t even hug a woman I don’t know well nowadays. It’s gotten so insane.

I knew a few guys from India when I was living in SoCal 15 years ago. They were very aggressive with women. I remember one guy getting kicked out of a bar for groping women (he would be lucky if that was all that happened nowadays).

Now that doesn’t speak for all of them of course. But that was just what I observed. So I can see why there was a push back to call that crap out.
