Crazy. This is the downside of all that nice weather with no rain, I guess. I feel like my whole life, there have just been wildfires in Cali, like hurricanes to Florida. Like clockwork, almost. This one seems to be particularly bad and hitting some dense residential areas. I’ve been to LA a few times, so I’ve been through some of this communities, and it hits a little different when it’s somewhere you’ve experienced and feels like a real place and not just something you hear about on TV. Especially somewhere like LA actually, since it’s so commonly depicted in TV and movies, it almost feels not real to outsiders until you go there.

So, my heart goes out to all affected. Hopefully they get this thing controlled soon. On the news a few hours ago, they said it’s “8% contained”, which sounds…. not great. I know we have some SoCal GAGgers here, probably even more than I’m aware of since not everyone disclosed their location, so…. good luck, and stay safe. Keep your loved ones, pets, and irreplaceable items handy in case you have to make tracks if the wind blows it your way. Scary stuff, be careful out there. I’ll be making a relief effort donation when I find one, I rock with LA 🤝 (except the Lakers🚫👎)

The difference is, we don't lose our houses in Florida when hurricanes come unless you build on the beach or live in a mobile home. We also rapidly respond rebuilding bridges in a day or two and have power back on within a couple days. Everything is back to normal in no time. When it comes to wild fires we actually manage our land responsibly and carry out controlled burns several times a year and we have an significant amount of water always available, so structures rarely get damaged. We're not retarded Democrats that burn down cities on purpose and cancel our citizens insurance.

For example I have roughly 200,000 acres of state parks, conservation area, and wildlife management areas pretty much in my backyard. Just a couple days ago the local forest service did a controlled burn of 700 acres. No structures were damaged. We just had a little smoke in the distance and a campfire smell for half a day. Men do that regularly here so that fires doesn't get out of control and forests stay healthy... That way you never have to listen to a butch lesbian Democrat firefighter tell you it's your fault you are trapped in a structure fire and she can't drag you out of there because you are a man.

Where people are suffering I’ve seen crazy conspiracy theories like controlling the weather to people claiming that they can just pump the salt water from the ocean to extinguish the flames (not understanding you need to transport the water from the ocean to pumps to combat the flames & its too windy for certain maneuvers also the wind only moved the fires further out of control).

I’ve heard State Farms a year ago announce that they will no longer cover fire insurance so, when this is done people will need to pay out of pocket & won’t be able to rebuild the life they once knew…. Corporations owning California’s water which they need to put out the fires which is used for grocery products, selling the water back to the citizens, Pistachios & more. California even cut Firefighting Funds and most of their force are prisoners being paid as little as $6 an hour.

It is a disgrace what is going on, we shouldn’t be just praying…. We should be keeping note of what went wrong here because it is a lot of sh*t.

I mainly reside near California's San Francisco Bay Area.

However, I'm 7,000+ miles away (across the Pacific Ocean) right now.

I've been monitoring the news about those fires since Tuesday from where I currently am.

I just learned from a life-long friend that she and her family were ordered to evacuate because their home might be affected by the Kenneth Fire in SoCal's San Fernando Valley.

I offered them my support by giving them shelter in a vacant unit of my property just north of Santa Barbara.

However, she said that my property is "too far" from where they need to be.

She declined but voiced her appreciation.

She was hoping I'd offer another one of my properties which is located closer to Downtown Los Angeles but that property currently 100% occupied by tenants.

The fact is it has been burning the affluent areas of the city mostly. As some of the people who live there are horrible people, I would say let their houses burn in fire.

James Woods once said I'd like Israel to flatten Gaza and kill its people. Now he comes to CNN and cries in front of the camera because his house was burnt in fire. They should get a taste of the medicine they prescribe for others!! Although its just one millionth of what the Gaza people are going through.

I am sincerely happy that the houses of some of these horrible people burned down, but on the other hand it's sad to see people who are not faulty suffer.

There were some really bad fires not too far away from us over the past few years.

I live fairly close to one of the fire areas. It was touch and go for a while as to whether or not I would be evacuated but it turned out I was not. That being said, the fire came pretty damn close to My home. California firefighters and in particular Southern California firefighters are the best in the world and they proved it again this week. I'm grateful to these men.
