Forest fires are natural and important for growth of the trees of a healthy forest.

The Problem thats causing these hellfires in California, and in other parts of the world are much more complex and existing for much longer than the last 4 years.

You have global warming making regions which were always dry even more dry, increasing the speed and intensity of firespread. You have no natural forests, who can withstand fires. And these problems are 100 year old problems, so its rather shortsighted and a BS argument to just blame the "DeMoCraTs"

I don't know if that's global warming. More man's impact in the state of california creating an ecological disaster. Something similar is happening in Spain where is basically becoming a desert. You've heard of the Oklahoma dust bowl too. Even floods in certain places are man made because they've straightened the rivers and built massive flood defences, drained marshes and swamps, cut down forests, build massive concrete towns and cities that catch rainwater and put it into rivers and built on flood planes all of which means rainwater no longer gets soaked up by the environment the way it should, rivers fill up to bursting, rain water can't drain away from cities and towns into the overflowing rivers and straightened rivers and flood defences channel water downstream to a point where the rivers burts over flood walls usually on a flood plain. And of course cities flood when rain water can't drain away. If you ever are buying a home don't buy one built on a flood plane, flood planes are a very large flat area right beside a river that historically and naturally would flood every year. The way to fix this is to restore swamps, marches, forests and natural flood planes and restore rivers to their natural state.

He’s right that a lack of forest management is a big part of the fire problem. Getting rid of deadfall and other piles of wood/fuel would help reduce the severity and spread considerably.


That said, he’s wrong if he thinks republican states are managing their forests better than democratic ones. He implied this with his statement and it’s straight up false. The example of someone doing a good job with it is actually Germany, who are comparatively progressive and willing to spend a craploaf of money preserving their forests.

Yes he was right. They do not have fires like this in other countries or other states because they mange their forests better and regularly thin out trees and remove debris. You take away the fuel and you do not have a fire.
