Would you Change your Name if a Hurricane was named after you?

The 2025 the Atlantic hurricane season has begun. The Hurricanes name list is:

Andrea, Barry, Chantal, Dexter, Erin, Fernand, Gabrielle, Humberto, Imelda, Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Nestor, Olga, Pablo, Rebekah, Sebastien, Tanya, Van, and Wendy

If a your name matches a hurricane, would you think about changing your name, to avoid the hassle you're likely to get?

Here is the thing, what if I changed my name only for the next or future Hurricane to also land on my new name? Then I would have to keep changing it all for weather.

The thing is the Hurricane is never going to be your First, Middle, and Last Name combined so why would you care about a Hurricane sharing your name?

Like, I know some pretty annoying celebrities / controversial ones let alone political figures so if I didn’t care to change my name over that…. I guess I wouldn’t have a problem over Hurricanes too.

My advice, give to charity in the local region affected by the Hurricane and do a good deed to counteract the damage it does to your name’s reputation I guess I don't know.

I remember surfing the internet back when America would film videos about the it’smost sought after criminal fugitives for every day citizens to spot and report to law enforcement and there was a Mexican guy with a common Mexican name that wanted to legally change his name because there was a fugitive serial killer wanted by the police with the same first and last name as him. He said he was embarrassed to show his face in public because of the bad reputation associated with his name.

@aviatortom  Well I've actually had to look this up, so I'm somewhat cheating in copying and pasting this: Yes, the name "Emma" has been used for a storm in the UK. The storm was named "Storm Emma" and caused significant disruption, including heavy snow and blizzards, in March 2018. It was a joint effort with "The Beast from the East" and brought prolonged cold weather to the UK and Ireland.  I distinctly remember the storm, but have no recollection of it having my name!

The UK storm list is Ashley, Bert, Conall, Darragh, Éowyn, Floris, Gerban, Hugo, Izzy, James, Keighley, Lewis, Mavis, Naoise, Otje, Poppy, Raif, Sayuri, Tilly, Vivienne, and Wren.
