Its impossible to say. Did Elon Musk swing it enough to change who won? Almost certainly. His statement is entirely true as far as that goes.

The problem is in opportunities available. My job pays me money. That lets me buy stuff, eat and so on. If I had no job, I'd be in trouble. But if I lost mine, or if Trump did not have Musk, I'd get another one.

Do we think Elon Musk was Trump's only choice? Maybe. But the thing about solutions is that there are as many as you can reasonably think of.

Tldr, Elon Musk is right in that he contributed the difference but probably wrong in that if he did not someone else could have.

I think the kind of money in play put his finger on the scale. But many factors are at play in why trump won a second term. Money is one but he is only a part of that. Owning X and using that platform is not the game change he thinks it is.

It might be true, but it’s unlikely. Republicans didn’t necessarily gain votes so much as democrats threw votes away. Biden and Harris won the election for Drumpf way more than Musk did.
