No Kings Protest. What was it all about & was it really a big deal?

Where I was it seemed to be just the usual protesters than basically protest everything during the protest festival which lasts from may to the start of November. At least it was on a Sunday.

Not really the platform for this. But there were people I know who haven't done an activist thing in their life. But went to that protest even made signs. The changes the divisiveness the anger and the manipulation busy the super rich and their government lackies on both sides are driving these things. It the same forces driving the jan 6th insurrection and the current protests. People of power are deciding and manipulating us. It's not created it's not actors or agitators. It's raw emotion. The reaction of those in power is one of fear and trying to minimize and placate their base. So both sides of this argument are seeing it has an effect.

It's simply saying that Trump, his regime and the entire Project 2025 manifesto is about turning the USA into what "appears" to be a Democracy, but is really a authoritarian, fascist regime where a single person is installed as the Supreme Leader. It's a protest against his attempts to centralize all power in one branch of the government, resulting in a "de facto Monarchy".

No, it was not a big deal. It was a complete flop, even though the mainstream media outlets said otherwise. The media coverage of the event in my town was in stark contrast to reality. I showed up just for giggles so I know how many people were there. The media said there were thousands, but in reality there were dozens. There were mostly old people, and they young people who did protest were just who you would expect... bright hair and lots of body piercings.

There were 173.9 million registered voters in 2024. Even if 7 million people turned out for the protests last weekend (and they didn't), that's only 4% of registered voters. Think about that.
