I don't think it's going to solve anything. A war with Iran doesn't just affect one country. It would harm millions of civilians. People will suffer beyond the original cause of conflict.

We didn’t give Japan a heads up that we were striking, which as their allies we typically do so Trump deviated from the norm.

If this conflict goes on for 20+ days, the Japanese government will be in a serious tight spot over Oil.

Basically, this isn’t my full opinion. It is to highlight that actions have consequences on the world stage. Same when we dethroned a dictator leader, which allowed ISIS to come in the region. Same when we funded and weaponized “freedom fighters” to fight Soviets, only for them to become terrorist groups causing issues in the region. Same when we wanted to build democracy in Afghanistan rather than leave which made it more difficult to leave and made it so that whoever pulled out would be at a political disadvantage further cementing our stay which put American lives on the line for a cause Afghans didn’t believe in.

This will have unforeseen (and foreseen, but ignored) consequences and will damage America’s reputation on the world stage for decades to come, also cement our position in The Middle East wasting countless money on The Middle East rather than getting out.

This isn’t global policy, it is imperialism. America has always been this way, but it doesn’t have to be.
