The U. S. jet was downed by anti-aircraft fire by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to Tasnim, a semiofficial news agency tied to the IRGC. The report, which said the aircraft was destroyed, referred to only one crew member, a pilot who it said “ejected and landed inside the country.”

Yes i heard about efforts to find the pilot, before cruel Iranians torture. Iran is not western.

Iran did a successful defense.

Sadly no "prisoner exchange' in contrast to christian in European wars. It is the second jet i heard shot down. A month ago the first one, the pilot landed in Kuwait where sunni muslim helped the enemy of their enemy.
