Iran is what happens when you let Muslims inside the country. Its worse than a dictatorship. Under a dictatorship you can still be educated in different things that benefit society. In an Islamic nation the only education you get is from their Religious ideology book.

Hate to say it but I agree. As an American I was raised on the principle of religious tolerance and respect for the beliefs of others. But unlike other religions I find Islam to be very challenging to accept. Even though there are many good people who are Muslims, and I have known some of them, I can't think of a single place on the planet where there is a large population of Muslims where freedom and tolerance is practiced. While they are not all bad people, that isn't the point. The point is that there are enough of them who are bad that it becomes a cancer wherever it is practiced. Europe has already all but fallen prey to this scourge. You can't even recognize places like London anymore. And parts of America are on the brink of destruction because of large settlements of Muslims. So it comes down to a tough choice. Violate one of the most important values we as Americans hold, freedom of religion, or prevent America from going down the same rathole as so many other countries have.

What good would arms do against a tyrannical government? The way the election went in 2020 with so many saying it was a fair election. I know it wasn't and I think a lot of those saying it was knew better. Just saying.

If the people of Iran had arms, at some point in the weakening of their army they would be able to resist and possibly defeat the government. As it is now, without guns they are completely powerless and helpless.

Mexico's constitution protects a citizen's right to own a gun for self defense but it is virtually ignored as the government makes it almost impossible to obtain one legally. Hence, as in all places where guns are effectively banned, only the bad guys have the guns and everybody else is a hostage to them.
