It's kind of basic knowledge that the President and Vice President have separate Secret Service details that operates independently to provide 24/7 protection to their VIP. Different teams have different protocol as well given that the President is more important than the Vice President. Vance got out first, but Trump was more heavily covered. Different protocol.

Notice how Vance gets grabbed by the shoulders and just walked out fast with no real cover, just fast movement. In contrast Truimp is completely covered before moving him.

I hesrd s couple of different expalnations. One is thst Presdient Trump told Secret Service agents to get the First Lady and his guests to safety first but let him stay behind. Another explanation was that a secret service agent happened tom be near JD Vance so he just evacuated him first.
