You read the MOU, look at Irans position before and after the war and it should be clear who the winner is.

Of course things can always change. Trump keeps breaking the MOU so things might get ugly again.

America completed every war objective except recovery of the Uranium. The Iranian President was willing to turn it over, but the IRGC are not willing to give it up or make a deal to stop pursuing nuclear weapons, which is what was expected the entire time. Anyone who read the deal knew that was the outcome, so instantly the IRGC broke the cease fire in the first 24 hours. In the mean time the Iranian civilians are preparing for war against their own government. That civil war will come soon.

Trump merely needs to get militarily involved. The US will have no problem opening the strait. It's done it before. The issue is that Trump. is likely afraid of midterms.

Trump obsession with deals is a problem. The US and Israeli militaries decimated Iran, but Trump felt he could negotiate. These are not people you make deals with.

Reopening a strait that was already open to trade before the conflict was closed doesn't mean you've won the war.
