Not really. He had a lot of built up emotions going on with his Aunt May gone, the loss of his friend and girlfriend and practically his whole identity gone. Anyone would lose their mind and go crazy after all that especially after years of dealing with it. It was bound to come out like that eventually.

Some guy at a party told me the webbing was a metaphor for splooge. I had to look it up. I thought it was pretty funny until he started taking it as flirting and said he really identified with Peter Parker. Not really my type for hookups.
