She was truly a once-in-a-lifetime icon and a rare gem to this world. Even after losing her beloved husband of nearly 60 years just last year, she still bravely went on to carry on in life and kept working on her dreams. I was completely shocked to hear the news that Dolly passed away. Just a few months ago, she made a video reassuring fans that she was going to be okay, even though she had to pull out of several scheduled shows due to her health. While the public knew she was dealing with ongoing kidney and autoimmune issues, it was just revealed that she was actually fighting a brief, private battle with cancer.
Poor Dolly—she was always such an absolute sweetheart and a beautiful light of joy in a world that is so full of hate, meanness, and wickedness. No matter where she was performing or making an appearance, she brought pure kindness. They really don’t make them like her anymore. It is just so sad and heartbreaking to find out she has died, and the world is truly going to miss her presence.
