Should I hug him around the neck, or the waist?

so this crush I have hugs me non stop. the other day we had like a 5 min. convo and my friends who were across the room counted that he gave me 6 hugs! the only thing is he hugs me with his arms around my neck, and I like to hug with my arms around his neck, it just feels natural. so yesterday I hugged him around his neck, and he like pulled me in really close and held me there for a moment, I totally forgot my friends were with us, that's the only reason I pulled away. (but I'm guessing he liked it then? I'm hoping so but I don't know for sure, lol what do you guys think?) I always think about hugging him, cause its the closest we get, and I never want it to end when he does hold me. so my question is should I hug him around the neck, or the waist? any opinions would be great :)
