  • No it does not make you a prep at all. A prep is nothing but a label that your attitude and who you want people to think of you as. Honestly to me this company is more of the casual and universal clothing company/brand. I have friends that are far far from preps and they wear clothes from here. Buy the clothes you want to and then make them your own. Fill them up not with just your body but with the attitude and person that you want others to see you as.

  • I think American Eagle is definitely influence by prep, but I think hollister is supposed to be more beachy. Hollister is like surfer preppy haha.

  • To me, I don't think what you wear makes you seem preppy. I think its your attitutde and how you carry yourself. If your a littly bitchy whiney guy, then yes I'd say your a prep. But if your some bad boy with a american eagle shirt on, well to me, that's a turn on. I guess it depends on how the people around you define prep though.

  • It depends on what you define as prep. If it's the definition most people are familiar with but is incorrect, which is people who are involved in school activities and are smart and stuff, then yes it is somewhat preppy. However true preps are the people known as WASPS (white anglo saxon protestants) who are usually well off (think people like the kennedy and bush families) and wear more trendy clothes like polo and lacoste and burberry and ll bean. So in a sense AE and Hollister are preppy but not too preppy
