It depends on the individuals ages, maturity, and experience. Low on all three will result in a long infatuation phase and the feeling that something is freakishly wrong and that the relationship has died after it ends. High on at least one will make it vary in length but they won't think it's dead after it passes. High on all three and it will likely be short but still go strong when it's over.

I think that after a year, because my relationship seems to simmering off. It depends on the two people if you take care of each other and care enough this won't be taken for granted. I think it can have its ups and downs but all in all it should last forever. Do you see the old little couples still kiss and hold hands I envy this. Its so adorable if they have it I guess its not impossible.
Usually after 3 or 4 months of dating. The "honeymoon phase" is usually at 3 or 4 months of dating, then you start getting used to the person and see their true colors after that phase, so infatuation is not really there, its more like love once you accept the person for who they are and support them regardless of his/her flaws.
For the first two years of most relationships it's really just lust and infatuation if you make past the two year mark you will either
1: go your own separate ways
2:stick together till the end
Or
3:settle with whT you currently have because you've become complacent

after sex... then the mystery is over and you're basically a miserable married couple...
My dad wasn't even born in 1967, but it's usually over after I have sex with them.
