Is 7 months too long to spend in a talking stage?

Is staying in a talking stage for 7 months too long? Cuz it's entirely online, it's impossible for us to meet. We needed time to get to know each other. Now, it's getting to an end without getting a real and clear closure. It's difficult to get out of this stage after getting emotionally attached and ended up befriending him. I realized that I can't be friends with him while I'm so infatuated. My infatuation won't fade if we continue to talk. And being friends with him while I'm infatuated is a torture to me. Why does it even hurt so much like this? It's as if it's a real breakup when there's even no us to start with. I could only call us as an almost. It really sucks.

Listen 7 months for a talking stage when you can't ever see each other in person is hard, and it makes sense in a way that your hurting because that's a long time y'all we're talking for but at the same time me personally I would never cause I've always said this I need my significant other in my arms no matter what" but it is better too have a long talking stage then none at all cause at least you weren't dating and then all of this happend that would've be worse, this is just the after math, but never wonder on what it could've been because thats just gonna hurt, try concentrating on Reasons it wouldn't have been correct and little by little move on godbless and I wish you da best bro

There is no right or wrong here.
You don't have to go at any speed you are not comfortable with, I actually recommend really getting to know the person before getting involved with them romantically or sexually! Just be open and straight forward about your intentions, and you'll find out if they're actually right for you or not. :)
