Are you sure that this is what you want to do? The doctor will go through the process with you before it starts, and they'll tell you what's going to happen, explain the risks, things like that. You'll probably get blood and STI tests, they may also examine your vagina and give you an ultrasound, though I doubt that will be necessary if you're only a month along.
Because you're only a month into your pregnancy, it's still very early, and you will be given a less invasive, early pregnancy abortion. These are two medications, taken about a day and a half or two days apart. You may have some bleeding, and some slight pain, but nothing extreme. Think period cramps.
The first pill is to block the hormone that makes your womb lining suitable for the egg. You won't have to stay in hospital or anything, you can go home like normal. The second pill is to help break down the womb lining, along with the embryo. This is lost through bleeding, exactly like your normal period, so no need to panic. As I said before, it's this pill that may cause pain but it's just like a period, so you should be okay with it. It doesn't happen to everyone anyway.
If you're experiencing very heavy bleeding or in a lot of pain, you should speak to your doctor, but it's very unlikely for that to happen.
(This is based on the UK procedure, I'm not sure where you're from and it might differ, but this is a standard procedure for where I live.)

Are you positive this is the right decision for you? Your mom has absolutely no right to force you into this now that you're an adult, and if you feel that you'd rather carry out your pregnancy (you can always give the baby up for adoption; plenty of families are looking for infants), you have every right to do so. It'll probably cause an argument, but this is your decision and if you don't want an abortion, I strongly urge you not to get one.
That said, if you're sure an abortion is best... you're not going to die. Severe side effects are rare, but it still likely won't be pleasant, tbh. This site explains it: americanpregnancy.org/.../
But again, the risk of severe side effects is very low, so it's not worth worrying about them. Be aware of them, just in case, but you don't need to be afraid. You're going to be okay.
You are not going to die, it is a very safe procedure. How long in the gestation process are you? That might make a difference in how involved the process gets. Again, you'll be fine and will get through this OK!

Come on now. If abortion WAS that risky (which it's NOT), so many people (especially women) wouldn't be demanding that it be made legal.

YOu said that you were raped. I am very sorry for that. Why would your mother be angry at you though if you were raped and this was the result of a crime and not your own actions?
You'll be fine.
I had to read up on this for a project once.
You'll probably be given a pill to abort. One dislodges it from the wall of the uterus and the next pill causes your period.
Or they'll remove it by hand and I hear that pinches/feels like pressure. It'd probably be uncomfortable but nothing like childbirth or anything. I've heard it described as bad menstrual cramps.Psychologically I think it would affect you but other than that you won't die from an abortion unless you're from a rural area which I highly doubt
It's amazing how you're going to go kill your unborn child and somehow you got will am I going to die out of it.
How old are you a legal adult? Well it doesn't matter as much as im against abortion from what you just asked your mother is right you're to young to be a parent. You will be fine. Also do you want to abort the child? Or you doing it for your mum? & do you have a boyfriend?
Abortions are safe till like the 3rd month If I remeber correctly but are you sure you wanna abort?
You'll be okay. Talk to a doctor--they'll explain everything to you that you need to know. Good luck--stay strong!
