What makes a guy want to "get closer to a girl"? some girls are easy to approach and others are impossible. So how do you know if it's worth the effort to "approach her"?

How does a woman look approachable? I don't know what I"m doing when it comes meeting women so I looked online for something to get me started and I see "approachable" in a lot of the articles. What type of body language should I look for if they are "approachable"?
