My ex boyfriend treating me badly?

I was with my ex for 8 years and 6 months ago he broke up with me on text, obviously I was gutted and I'm struggling to get over him! He told me a while ago that he's back in a relationship only 3 months after we split! Since then I've been texting him non stop, which is a bit embarrassing to be honest that I'm letting him do this to me.

He has told me to leave him along and to move on - he hasn't even texted me once, its all been my doing! He even told me last week that I'm embarrassing texting him as he was in bed with his new girlfriend! how can he be so cruel?

How can he not care after so long together?

wow I was reading another response to this question, I guess it depends on perspective and maturity anyways

honestly, it sounds like he may have done a fewthings to hurt you before even though you've been with this guy for 8 years. he sounds like a total jerk for dumping you over text and the only girl that anyone should be sorry for is the fool who's with him. what makes her think he will change his ways for her.

the best way to get over it is to take care of yourself. you don't necessarily have to hop into another relationship right away to feel better, if you need, take your time before you find that right guy. I have been single for over a year now and it's just that I'm still healing and I'm doing much better.

Now you know that lots of texting can drive a guy away and it doesn't necessarily mean you're possessive like the other guy said-that's such an overstatement and everyone overuses the term 'possessive' these days and seem to never see that a guy can be at fault for things that happen. I'm thinking that he could have been more considerate interms of breaking up withyou if he was a guy who had character, ethics or a caring heart-sounds just like trash to me so move on. You have to tell yourself you deserve better, believe that this guy is a jerk and the girlwho's with him is a fool and just be happy you can start anew with someone who cares and will appreciate you for who you are.

it sounds like you loved him but he did not-maybe he is the type to be in a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship. so your love for him then blinded you to his flaws. it happens. but now you know better for next time not to text so much, not to fall for someone who obviously isn't as caring, and don't be hard on yourself. if he's the type to break up with a girl over text, chances are he's a douche anyways. k, take care

Go out with some of your girlfriends, and meet some new guys. At first, you might not want to even think of being with another guy, but after a while it becomes much easier. There are a lot of guys out there, and this is your chance to meet them! Thinking of relationships as experiences makes them a lot easier to get over. Yeah, this guy was a total jerk to you-that much is obvious-but you can't spend time dwelling on that. I don't take back any of my relationships, because I had some fun experiences to remember-fun camping trips, going to music festivals, etc. Think of dating as your way to experience new things. There are things that you might be able to do with other guys that you never would of had the chance to do with your ex. While he is ending one relationship, and jumping right into another one, you are getting to enjoy the single life for a bit.

Honestly. You sound like a nut-job. From what you have written you appear to be over-possessive. Don't bother contacting him. He has made it deadly apparent that he wants you to leave him alone. He is trying to hurt you in an effort to push you away and get you to move on. Him breaking up with you by text message is a sh*tty move on his part but you texting him non-stop trying to reconcile the relationship is just bloody pathetic.

My advice: Go get laid. It does wonders having sex with somebody new. One of the all time best ways to get over an ex. I'm sure you're still desirable. You just need to find somebody new. He obviously wasn't Mr. Right if he broke up with you by way of text message.

What happened to make you break up in the first place? was he happy when you were together ?He might have been seeing this girl behind your back for some time?Some guys are cruel but not all of them.I would have thought having been with him 8 years you would have known him by now obviosly not! it sounds like he is being a real jerk to be rubbing your face in it like that,but don't ring him any more he is just not worth it and it makes you look desperate he will be laughing at you with his new bitch.

God I wish that some people just grow up. breaking up with someone via TXT is the most childish, rude behavior. 1 don't txt him anymore he's not worth the time writing him

a txt. 2 this is a lesson you need to learn in the future that who ever treat you badly walk away from him and not even having a second thought about it. 3 don't go and check his Facebook or my space or anything that keep you up to date about him its one of the methods to move on in your life not communicating with him at all. 4 enjoy being single and go out with your family friends and just have fun with them.

Did he gave you a reason for the broke up ? Anyway you need to stop begging him and let him be. because the more you keep calling and texing him is the more you are pushing him away. just leave him along . he will call you when he start to miss you, trust me. just go no contact for about 3 weeks. I know it will be hard, but that the best way to go . I am in a similar situation too , my ex broke up with me 2 1/2 months ago and I haven't talk to her for almost 2 months now. but she been trying to contact me ... I just refuse to talk to her . my advise to you is STOP ALL CONTACT . let him call you

Nah he just told me we weren't meant to be - nice to tell me after 8 years!!

We were arguing moreso than normal but not enough to throw 8 years down the pan!

I just want him to come crawling bk! he can then see how it feels! Rejection is not nice and he has really made me feel sh*tty!
