Why hasn't my ex boyfriend tried to get me back?

We used to really like each other and I feel like I can just tell he still has feelings for me but he never does anything about it! wtf. Since we've been back at school I usually say hi every time I see him and act like a little girl because he still gives me butterfly's. Obviously that isn't working. He hasn't tried. He didn't even tell me happy birthday. I don't get it. I started to ignore him. I just don't know what else to do. We've been broken up for a while now. I just feel like I love him. My heart literally feels ripped to shreds. How do I go about getting him to want me back? Or better yet what sound I do to move on? I've tried everything! its just talking to other guys just makes me realize how much I miss him.

sounds like you need your space to recover. try finding a different route around school so as to avoid him. In other words, make HIM miss YOU.

Spend your free time doing something you really enjoy doing. Hang out with friends, Sign up for a night class, horseback riding lessons, something that will allow you to be yourself and take him off of your mind. It will make you stronger and allow you to recover from the aftermath of a break up. Soon, the pain will feel less and less maybe you'll even get to the point where you wonder why you were so upset in the first place. :)

And hey, if he doesn't come running back, at least you'll be strong enough to accept it as it is and move on with your life. There are better things out there, you just have to put yourself out there and find them. Best wishes.

Im super involved in things but I don't think I should avoid him. I'd rather break the tension by facing it. we live in the same dorm and same hall.we talked lastnight for the frist time in weeks.Twice in one night! first I approached him then he approached me. I want to keep this positive vibe going. I still don't feel 100% confident around him but I'm getting there. I do know I still want to be with him so I'm gonna keep trying. How should I go about getting him to ask me to hang out... 1 on 1?

So if you still feel butterflies for him, then why did you break up to begin with? Did he do the breaking up, or did you? If he did the breaking up then it's safe to assume that he doesn't want to be with you and you have to accept that. If you did the breaking up, he might be thinking, "What the hell? You broke up with me and now you want to be all friendly? You're crazy." So before you ask why hasn't gotten back with you? Why did the two of you break up?

Mutual.it was the end of the school year he lives in NC and I went back to Dominican Republic. it was left on "we will probably get back together". I saw him in the library lastnight and we talked for a few minutes. The conversation was short but good.I definitly changed the vibe to positive and calm..more relaxed feeling. When he as leaving he came up to me and talked again..told me bye. Is it to soon to think things could change?what do I need to do to get him to ask me to hangout? thanks
