My boyfriend has an album of pics with his ex, but none with me...

Okay so the album with his ex has been up there for a long time, however I feel a little uncomfortable at the fact that he has like 8 pics with her up from when they were dating yet only one of us from before we even were dating, and whenever I want him to take pics he says either in a bit or no because he doesn't want to put a ton of pics all over facebook..but yet he has these pics with her...I want to confront him about it w/out causing a fight...

i was thinking something like "Babe. I saw these pics and I understand your still friends and everything but I was wondering why whenever I ask you to take pics its no but with her you took all these and still have them up here, it makes me a little uncomfortable"

my fear is that he still cares about her or that he just doesn't feel the same love he did with her for me. I know he loves me it just seems like to me he took pics with her and of her and with me he never wants too...

what could be going on?

My boyfriend still has a lovey dovey picture of him with his last ex hugging, but none of me or of us together. I didn't even ask him to remove their picture, but to at LEAST be on an even playing field with a picture of US together, but he hasn't yet and evidently won't. He's made all kinds of excuses - he's rarely on Facebook, hasn't posted any pictures in the album since his wife died over 1-1/2 years ago. By the way, they had been divorced for over a decade!!! I've told him that it hurts me and that I feel humiliated when my friends and family see that and ask me why there aren't pictures of us there, and who the heck that is with him! He'll turn it around on me and make false statements that I'm trying to erase his past.

Oh, by the way, he still hoards onto his old love letters and love poems he wrote her, cards, pictures on his computer.

At first he said that he didn't want to flaunt how happy he was with someone else (being with me in a new relationship) after his ex-wife died - worried what the family would think, but the family doesn't care or even like him. AND they certainly knew about the more current ex. I think he didn't want the current ex to know that he had moved on with me!

Thanks for your input and agreeing, but I just can't compete with a phony 15-year long-distance relationship. Out of all that time, they've only spent 2 weeks together split by many years in between. It is just a fantasy based on no real experience. People don't act real in these kind of relationships. What little I know of her, and what tremendous amount I know about him, I think they both dodged a bullet. I love him but I'm pretty sick of all this. Unfortunately, he owes me a lot of money. I helped him get his wretched life back in order. His properties were ready to be foreclosed on, nothing worked - no vehicles, nothing in his houses worked, everything was a mess. I worked for him for 5-1/2 months straight 3000 miles from my home working harder than I've ever worked in my life (for pay), but in this case for free. Now his life is better and running smoother. I guess now he can pretend he did it all by himself and move his ex back in with him. I think he just couldn't do it himself.

So he doesn't mind holding an album of his ex, but he won't even post up pics of you and him on facebook? Sounds shady. Is he ashamed of you? Fact is, if I have a girlfriend, old pics have got to go. Either that or stored. There's no reason to keep something out in the open like an album when you're with someone else. You should be focusing on her.

thats how I feel as well and he says he's not ashamed and he shows me affection in public and everything around his friends so that's not it but its how I feel...and I just don't know why he would act diff in both relationships...

He shouldn't be ashamed of me. I have more going for me in every dept. than his ex, except that they had a phony long-distance relationship for 15 years while she was in and out of prison for DUI's, meth addiction, etc. Anyone can pretend to be anything on the Internet. She actually conned him out of up to $10,000 over the years with her so-called love. We had a real relationship where we actually spent over 10 mos. together day in and day out, so, of course, it can be rocky at times, but it takes work. Unfortunately, he has rotten communication skills in a real relationship. I honestly don't think that even she would put up with any of this either.
