Ive been with my boyfriend for 5months now but lastnight I texted my ex just to see how he was doing and how he's been but he tried getting flirty with me so I shot him back a couple things but told him that I have a boyfriend that I love so much and would never want to hurt him so I was just saying hey and see how your doing and he said okay I'm not trying to get you in trouble..

I don't want to tell my boyfriend because I know he would get very upset. I just feel bad because we both agreed to never stay in contact with any of our Ex's , A little convo wouldn't be considered cheating right ?

A little convo with an EX is OK for as long as you know the boundaries in this and all, the only mistake you did here is acknowledging his flirty messages back..that's probably why your feeling guilty and its definitely wrong..Let this pass but you have to be honest with your current guy don't give him reasons to doubt his trust for you..be honest about it..but if you think now is not the time to tell him its up to you..As for going or meeting your EX don't do it..as to what you have agreed..

Clearly if you are posting here YOU think there is a problem. It's not cheating but you are lying to your partner about this which clearly doesn't sit right. So the thing to do to stop you feeling this way is NOT to try and get validation from other people that it's OK and to just stop texting your ex OR be honest with your other half.

the real question here I think is "would this b the behavior that would make your boyfriend reasonably upset?"

not putting the blame on you, I think your ex needs to understand that he can't b flirting with you like that because you want to be honest with your boyfriend.

i have an ex-boyfriend who turns out to b a great friend, and he stills wants a relationship with me but respects my decisions on life, your ex should do the same.

No its not consider cheating, but I would say its wrong. If you agreed to your boyfriend that you wouldn't talk to your ex, then you shouldnt. Do you still have feelings for him?There's some reason you contacted him...You have to think about how would you feel if your boyfriend contacted his ex? Don't beat yourself up, but don't let it happen again unless your unsure about your boyfriend..

Why would you consider even contacting an ex? Ex's are in the past for a reason. You have a great new boyfriend now and the chance to be happy, don't let your ex get in the way. If your boyfriend found out, he would be hurt that you have been doing that when you both agreed to not talk to ex's. Leave your ex in the past and move on.

I think your current boyfriend would seriously wonder why you would want to contact an ex and it would be hurtful to him. I personally don't contact ex's. If they contact me, I might just tell them I am engaged but then again I might just not respond at all. There is a reason they are an ex.
