Dutch Divorce Rate Skyrockets In Response To Alimony Reform. Thoughts?

So alimony is reduced from 12 to 5 years on January 1st 2020 and suddenly women rush to file for a divorce just so they can get a larger slice of the pie. And some people still say that's it's all about love and companionship.

This further proves that marriage is just an industry that exists to serve the interests of women. While many people had doubts despite the fact that the divorce courts are in favor of women now we have definitive proof that women get married just for the money. They sell the fairy tale of love to men and whoever is weak enough makes the mistake and has his life ruined very soon.

Well, this logic is flawed.

The reason why people get alimony is because women generally (more often than men) have a far more significant financial hit from divorce than men, hence they more often get alimony.

It would rationally make exactly 0 sense to divorce someone with the idea to divorce them if you are in it for the money, as the gains in disposable income by staying married is greater.

Additionally, only 1 in 6 of Dutch women who divorce (and this is consistently decreasing) actually get alimony, and over half only get a few hundred euros every month.

The fact that only 1 in 6 get alimony implies that they tend to have a far smaller financial incentive to marry and divorce, simply because they generally have an income that fits their lifestyle on their own.

Additionally, due to alimony changes and the very little expected added wealth by divorce or marriage, then it would make zero sense to actually marry, if it was done from a purely financial aspect.

But people still marry in the Netherlands, a lit, even when the mutual good thing has already been eliminated a year ago.

So

1. Women do not often get alimony, meaning they can sustain their lifestyle on their own
2. Women do not get that much money anymore from alimony
3. The number of women who get alimony is decreasing
4. Even after the gains of marriage financially have dwindled significantly, people still marry

There are reasons why I left Europe. Once again I feel confirmed :D
By the way: If you are played foul and unfair, there are ways to evade alimony.
Be informed, leave HER uninformed and leave the country yourself; ... ;)
If she doesn't send the hounds after you (or the hounds can't make you out), the claims will be void after a surprisingly short while.
At least from Germany it works well :D
