What do you think about divorce rate?

So I am not sure this is correct. Thomas Sowell said there are 400 times more divorced people in Iceland than in South Korea. China also has a low divorce rate. 99.8% of my dad’s friends are married to their long term husband or wife. What Thomas Sowell said is that they measure divorces and marriages by counting the number of new marriages and comparing that to the number of new divorces.

But if 8 people are married and 2 was married this year and 1 person was divorced, they would count the the divorce rate as 50% rather than 12.5% which includes the 7 people that remain married, so the actual divorce rate would be 1/7 x 100 and not the 50% their manipulation of numbers claims it is. It’s just exaggerating divorce rates gives people ab ego boost so statistics always try to make society look worse than it is. You tell somebody they are below average and you get cancelled. News stations know that.
