Not something that has happened to me.

I've been watching too many cheating tv shows and well cheating in real life with friends and acquaintances. Some cheating and some ended with the other woman getting pregnant.

Has a spouse or SO ever begged you to get a divorce) or break up) to be with someone else?

Did it happen to end well for the cheating partner or did it go downhill from there?

We'd like to think Karma works all the time but does it?

Are you so much happier that your ex left even though you thought it was horrible at the time?

I don't see why that would be necessary as women can get divorces for any reason (and they don't generally lose anything in the divorce either). So no, I know plenty of times where they cheated, at least one time where she abandoned her family (my cousins exwife) for an excon, but never to my knowledge have any of them begged for a divorce because quite frankly they are really really easy to get in the US.

No, but I begged my ex-wife for a divorce. I did not predict how angry she'd be over it and it ended up being the ugliest, most expensive divorce ever. Because of this, I don't recommend that route. I don't care how good of friends you think you are with your partner, if you're going to divorce, just do it and be sure you're lawyered up beforehand to protect yourself in case things go sideways.

Yep, it happened to me. But she wouldn't admit to the reason why she wanted a divorce. the reasons she would give me I knew were not true, I suspected she was having an affair, I found out later after we had separated that she was having a sexual relationship with her co-worker, and now he is her live-in boyfriend.

As far as the question about did it go well for her the cheating partner, now she's going through tough times, because her bills are now more like car insurance, and she now has to pay me child support, and she's going to lose part of her refund at tax time do to her outstanding balance from child support. And because she decided to ignore the courts I get to claim our kids every year on our taxes even though we have joint custody. She probably will have a chat with this new guy so she can get paid at tax time.

I don't beleive karma is a law of the universe, but here's my version of it:
She want a divorce to be with another dude, then I want full custody of the kids, full custody of the pets, title to the house and half of the joint savings account. She can fuck off with him while I be the family man raising the kids and paying the bills.
If this happened I'd be very depressed since I trusted her enough to marry her.
