Have you ever had a married person get a divorce so they could be with you?

Have you ever had a married person get a divorce so they could be with you?

Did you begin the relationship with your partner before his or her marriage had ended? Did your new relationship last or did it end (as most relationships do?) Did your new relationship end because your partner was unfaithful to you? Do you regret beginning a relationship under those circumstances?

I have never dated a married person.
I have dated a married person but they did not leave their spouse for me.
I was interested in a married person but I didn't start dating them until they left their spouse.
I have dated a married person, they left their spouse for me, we had a successful relationship, but it eventually failed because they cheated on me.

Something else that I'll explain in a comment.

If anyone doesn't know me and is wondering. . . I have never pursued a married woman. In 1980, I had a married woman ask me to take her to my bed. It would have been great fun, but. . . I knew both her and her husband and they were both good, nice people. In fact, I was quite surprised at her proposition. I told her to go home and work on her marriage.

I haven't stayed in touch with either of them but, as of 2024, I know that they are still married.
