Ex asked for my number, what could it mean?

Bumped into my ex last night. We were together for 7 years and I have spoke to him in over two. Last time I saw him was last summer and I walked past him and totally ignored him which I know now was a bit childish. Last night I saw him at a concert I was walking and he grabbed me out of nowhere towards him and hugged me we exchanged a few words and then I walked away. He later came over to me and asked how my mum was and what I was up to and then said goodbye again. Finally at the end of the night I was at the bar and he came up to me again and said can I have your number please. I gave it to him and he sent me a text later saying it was nice to see me and I hadn't changed. is he just being friendly?

I Could be wrong... But if I saw an ex and didn't want anything to do with her, I would ignore her totally.. He's still reaching out to u, so that does show some type of interest!
