Whereas I have use that excuse for splitting up. I can say nothing they can make me feel bad/guilty for my ending things. When they have ended things with me, I equally know there is nothing I can do to make them regret ending things either. Obviously if things were good neither myself or they would have ended things so it is pointless to even lower myself to that level in doing so. No, I just carry on.
